VikingPrince
I've got a pretty decent computer that I built myself just a couple months ago:Intel Core i5-7600 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memoryrunning Skyrim off a Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State DrivePowerColor Radeon RX 480 8GB Red Devil Video CardWindows 10I'm not running too much in the way of texture mods, but I do have:Real Girls Realistic Body Texture for UNP UNPB and SeveNBase - WIPDaedric armor set 2k-4k RetextureStatic Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIMA number of other small mods like Immersive Eyes, Immersive Soulgems, etc. that involve new textures.So...should I be worried about a performance hit or running out of VRAM and such if I use the Vivid Landscapes mods? Anybody have personal experience with them?
LeddBate
The issue you're most likely to have is that Win10 (and both versions of Win8) limit available memory to 4GB on DX9 games. So crashes are likely if you have lots of texture heavy mods.

Goffender
Seems like maybe this is true and it's because it's a 32 bit game. If this is true, I've wasted alot of time, because it seems pointless really . Time to move on.

KainThePheonix
Vivid runs just fine. Install it manually. It is one of the most beautiful texture packs on Nexus. Hein's work in FO4 is excellent as well. Despite the 4GIG cap for DX9 games it is not that bad just make sure not every pack you install is 4K. Mix both 1K for smaller items 2K (which is what the default High Res packs are resolution wise) 2K-1K for clothing or armors/weapons and 2K for environment if you're concerned about limits. 4K if you're a screen archer and can afford it.The DX9 cap is well known and mentioned quite a bit in regards to Oldrim. Goffender
Yeah I just hadn't come across it, I'm a noob. But I don't think it's my issue anyway, I'm running at maybe 2 gb. I think, lol Edited May 8, 2017 by Goffender

Really the only common texture mode I have are Vivid and SMIM; I have a Daedric Armor texture mod that is 2k-4K, but I haven't even made the armor yet. I occasionally get purple textures, which is easily solved by saving, quitting to title screen, and reloading, sometimes I get a stutter which is solved by alt-tabbing to desktop and back, and finally I get CTD now and then - so I save a lot.
