LeddBate
Hmmm... after some more poking around it seems like Legendary would be a better bet, no? It supports more mods, does it not? I've been out of the loop for a long time so please forgive my ignorance but is there a difference between Skyrim + DLC's and Legendary? I bought Skyrim when it first came out and then got sucked into Minecraft not long after that. I don't have any DLC's and am now wondering if I need to buy the Legendary bundle or if I could just add on the DLC's. Thanks for all the advice guys. It's a great help. XD Just to be perfectly clear, Skyrim Special Edition comes WITH all 3 of the DLCs (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn) same as Skyrim Legendary Edition. Which is one of the reasons I recommend SE over Legendary. Legendary has far more mods available to it than SE. However, many popular mods are being ported over at a near breakneck speed. The only major "sticking point" is that some of the most popular mods being ported previously relied on the MCM menu (which in itself relies on SKSE) so the mod authors had to incorporate "workarounds" to get the mod to work in SE. For example: many mods use "spells" for you to make adjustments rather than the MCM menu. Now the team that made SKSE is currently working on a SE version, however, they're experiencing delays (a subject which is being discussed vociferously over on the Skyrim SE sub-forums.) So it will be awhile before it's released. Bottom line (in my opinion): Look over the top 200 mods for SE (in terms of endorsements) and if there's enough of your old favorites to satisfy you, then go with SE over Legendary. It's rock-solid on stability and has a lot of eye-candy even without adding an ENB.
