Balagor
Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel in California this night.A great star, though driven hard by a life full of challenges, a great singer, a great voice has now been silenced. RIP Whitney Sorry, was so much out of my mind I did not see I posted in the Debates. Could someone please move it to the Lounge.
HeyYou
Any death is tragic, however, I have zero sympathy for whitney. She did herself in, by her own choices. Just another celebrity that committed unintentional suicide.
grannywils
I agree, Balagor. She was a great talent, and it is sad to see it gone from this earth regardless of the circumstances. I have not walked a mile in her moccasins, so do not feel worthy of passing judgment on her life and how she lived it. I just know that I will miss her talent. hoofhearted4
she was a good singer. but i did not know her personally nor was i a fan of her music, so i feel no sadness towards her death. i am not one to jump on the bandwagon like everyone did when MJ died and start buying all her music and claim ive been a lifetime fan. my condolences go out to her loved ones, but other then that, i could care less. i think we as a society grieve to much to celebrities. hell, in all, i think we care to much about them and their lives, but thats a debate for another time. anyways. my sympathies go out to her loved ones, just as they would to anyone who passes away. but thats it. RitualBlack
I am not into the type of music she produced but it is always sad when someone dies.
Balagor
I hear you all, it is allways sad when someone dies, weather they are common or celebrities. What I do find even more sad here, is when someone starts a normal life, becomes a great singer, then get hijacked by a buissness so hard that drug are inevitable, especial if you can not stand the pressure. She was not just another drug addict who died, but a pruduct (or waste) of a money hungering industry in Beverly Hills. Nintii
Well it's a bit strange but I was watching a documentary on Michael Jackson's death during lunch time today ... and even though I was not a fan of Whitney's music, I feel for those she left behind. Her life was not an easy one after she married Bobby Brown ... what a pity tht she had to go this way, I say that for Amy Winehouse as well, who's music I loved. slimhouse
Yeh a great voice and talent..! The commedien Bill Hicks (late) used to spout off about how he hated 'plastic pop' and marketed/contrived stars and how he wanted his stars (rock) to be real '...dying in a pool of blood and puke! ' Thing is when it happens ~in Life it's like a reality check... imo.
