imperistan
So, anyone else around here interested in swords and such? As in, real swords? Figured I'd share this because even if there aren't any other sword nuts around here it should be pretty interesting regardless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62iHEaE8uzI I'm currently saving up to commission a sword from these guys. They do some amazing stuff.
Flintlockecole
I've got quite a few swords myself. Nothing made these days can compare to the real deal from an age long past.
Werne
I love sword and I own a couple of them. But unfortunately, only one of them is a real medieval sword, others are just replicas :(. My favourite one is a replica of a roman Gladius sword, it's quite light and since I sharpened it I've cut myself on it several times (I should really be more careful and stop playing around with it). Lucky for me, my grandfather is a blacksmith and he's teaching me how to smith so I can make my own swords . BlackRampage
Yeah, I've got a few. Only replica's though, since I only use them for decoration purposes: A Kit Rae sword. (Molotoch the Slayer sword.) A replica of the "Anduril" sword from LOTR. 1 katana. (with a small knife hidden in the rear end of the hilt) A stand with another katana, a wakizashi and a tanto. 2 fantasy daggers and another 2 fantasy knives. slimhouse
Don't collect... but if you have ~Adul's Arsenal a Morrowind Mod he lists a shed load of ancient weaponary for sale on his #Pirate Ship like the Kopesh and Firangi etc Nice if you want your character to have some non-standard kit. Also could someone confirm the media hype or truth? that Angelina Jolie collects knives and swords etc ...just interested..!?
Delikatessen
I have three. My camera broke, but if I had one I would upload pictures of them all (and before you ask, the camera that broke was the one on my phone). One is a German Zweihander (it's just a replica, but it's sturdy), another is a Kit Rae sword, and last but not least, my personal favorite, a katana. I got it for Christmas from my great-grandfather a long time ago (old man also gave me a German helmet from WW2 that had a bullet hole in it). It's not just a replica, either. It's a real, Japanese-forged katana, and I have no idea how he got it, since he was in Europe during WW2, not the Pacific. I wish I could find more swords like this one on the internet. Not high-quality replicas, but genuine swords forged by Japanese smiths. I also had a dagger once, but I bought it at a fair for like $20 and I lost it a long time ago. Winterfall
It doesn't really count as a sword but i'm quite fond of Katars. I like the fighting style associated with it. And it's one of my dreams to acquire a pair of it, even if it is just a replica.
