Avinstar
I am hoping somebody would be willing to make a mod for Skyrim Remastered for the Xbox One that places Tommy Chong or both Cheech and Chong in the realm of Skyrim as a follower(s) It would be a very simple mod if dialogue was taken from the movies and implemented somehow into their speech. Can someone do this please?! Edited May 29, 2017 by Avinstar
Skagens
What movies? Who are Cheech and Chong?
ibldedibble
Cheech & Chong are an old comedy duo. They're probably most famous for the movies "Up in Smoke" and "Still Smokin". (At least those two movies are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. :P ) However, using using voice clips from the movies would break copyright laws, so that wouldn't work obviously. The only way around copyright issues is getting the rights to use the assets you want from the current copyright owners. So unless you want to record the lines yourself, you'd have to ask for permission from Paramount Pictures to just copy-paste them. (It also depends on how much you intend to use of it, but since your original post stated "dialogue" I assume it's more than just a couple of one-liners. Fair use vs straight up using full works... and fair use doesn't have any strict guidelines, it depends on what the things are used for, so I wouldn't tempt fate too much. :P )
Novem99
Is there any way around it? Don't rack your brain too much. It won't be made anyway.
Moksha8088
Your best bet would be to have two guys imitating Cheech and Chong. Seems like most players would have to be told who those two are and it would hold no nostalgic interest for them in that marijuana consumption is not really part of Skyrim. Maybe these two could make jokes about moon sugar. Legally they should not refer to themselves as Cheech and Chong so it would make even less sense, even if the two could do a spot on imitation. "Wow Tommy, that was like some A grade moon sugar." "I'm down with that, little Akaviri bro. Maybe we can score some Mogo's Mead tonight and get down with some Breton girls." PeterMartyr
It's me Dave, open the door, I got the stuff. Who? Dave. Dave not here! -But seriously is sampling their voices gonna cause a copy-write issue? I think so.
