jlogand
Hi there! I'm new to Fallout 4 and new to modding, after following the instructions I installed the following mods: Most things seem to be working just fine, although the "remove helmet" during dialog is a hit or miss sometimes. I wonder if it's the load order so I want to see if any of you modding vets can see anything obviously wrong I may be missing. Oh and I haven't seen a ton of "better settlers" but then again I may not be far enough in the game to have that many yet. I am on windows 10 64 and run F4SE as admin when I launch the game. Thanks in advance! Edited May 30, 2017 by jlogand
ReptyleRazer
A good load order tip, is to sort it in groups, in this order:1. ESMs2. Bugfixes (incl. Unofficial fallout patch) 3. Settlement mods4. Gameplay affecting mods (carry weight mods, etc)5. Weather mods6. Visual mods (terrain, grass, water etc) 7. Radio & quest mods8. Looksmenu9. Character customization mods10. NPC mods (better settlers, etc) 11. Sorting mods (VIS, etc)12. Item mods (chems, etc) 13. Animation mods14. CBBE (if you want to use it) 15. Unique player (Unique companions, if you use it) 16. Custom player housing17. Faction mods18. Crafting workbenches19. Equipment crafting20. Armorsmith Extended21. Armor and clothing mods22. Weapons23. Companions
shaggy08251993
^^^What he said. The general idea is to have all your "big" mods first. Fixes and overhauls....and then have the smaller mods that tweak, fine-tune, or add small things come later. Reason being is this: Say you have 2 texture mods. One is an overhaul that touches everything, and the other is a Sanctuary Bridge retexture. If you install the Sanctuary Bridge retex first, then the overhaul...the overhaul is going to overwrite it. If you flip it, then you have the overhaul retexing everything you want, but then you can have the specific bridge retex you want overwriting the overhaul. Of course, if you understand file structure and extracting/repacking...you can always splice multiple mods together to create mash up to your liking. I do this quite often. kingphillip123
I'm also having an issue with the order of my mod list I've got 83 mods installed and I've tried to put them in the right order but I'm still having some issue's with spring cleaning not always letting me scraping everything every time. http://prntscr.com/lfy1ot,http://prntscr.com/lfy24b. Can someone please look at the order I've got these in and tell me what/if any change's I need to make to it.
Deleted58783396User
image not working with that said, scrapping mods must be at the very bottom of your load order, preferably the last mod or alternatively download Scrap everything (ultimate, option in the fomod) and place it at the very bottom of the load order.
