Quick Question on using OBMM with HGEC body mod

Recommended Posts

I'm using OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) and when launching Oblivion should I have both Exnem's EC Body Replacer 1.0 mod AND RIAIR's HGEC mod both activated? Or should I deactivate Exnem's Body Replacer mod prior to launch when my primary objective is to use HGEC which features the latest improvements? If both are activated, does it cause problems? When the HGEC mod is activated, Exnem's EyeCandy Body Replacer Mod is marked red, indicating a conflict. But the HGEC mod install instructions indicated that Exnem's EC Body Replacer mod had to be installed as a prerequisite. Does anyone definitively know if both are meant to run simultaneously or separately?

Thanks in advance.

You must install both. Exnem's EC first. So you will overwrite it with the newer textures.

The conflicts indicated are just for it altering existent files and can and must be ignored as this is expected.

edit: Both must be kept active, you can't deactivate Exnem's EC after installing HGEC since the later depends on the former.

How can you 'deactive' a body replacer while there's no plugin to active? Even though there's a plugin(like some body replacers), you cannot really 'deactive' body replacer since it replaces body meshes and textures literally. If it is OMOD, if you 'deactive' it, it will be deleted from your \data. If you delete Exnem EC and install HGEC, you should get other body textures for Exnem EC, otherwise you'll have purple/invisible body problem.
