The door opens. You see a large hall without furniture and containing a picture of a large head.

OOC> I'll email it

The back wall contains two doors that on the left as you look at it says 'map update', that to the right 'wizard'.

You try the left hand door. It does not open but suddenly your map is different.

There appears to be nothing stopping you going into the right door. No one feels any suspicion of danger. Indeed you sense nothing at all.

"Well - it looks as though we've found the last head as well," Lurel says and glances at the updated map. "And it looks as though there isn't much left of this maze that we haven't explored yet. I suppose we ought to say 'hello' to the wizard.....perhaps he can tell us something about this control panel we need instructions for? For those 8 switches which let us get past that blocked off corridor.... I've got an idea about them. "

He tries the door handle. "Hello?"

You enter the room. It is perfectly tidy, a sitting room bedroom and everything else room rolled into one. The furnishings are brightly coloured. There is nobody there.

On the table is a small box attached to what looks like an ear trumpet. The box mechanism holds a black cylinder that turns on a spindle. As you stare, it clicks on - a needle touches the cylinder and the wizards high-pitched voice emerges rabbiting on in the same vein as before.

There is a switch on the machine. It reads 'fast, medium, slow, off'. It is currently set to fast.

Lurel looks at the strange device, and bursts out laughing.

"Whoever put that thing there has a strange sense of humour! But I suppose this was another test - would we help the annoying wizard and solve the riddle? If we had walked away, we might have spent a long time looking for this head... and I think we need to position the switches to open the blocked passage to match the position of the heads in the maze. At least I hope so... if not we might be here for some time. "

Lurel looks at the map.

"There isn't much left of this maze, but we know that there's danger there. However... there was something about needing instructions for a control panel.... and we don't have any yet. All we know is that we have to be quick after we've switched the switches. And I don't know.... I can't recall anything that sounded like the third clue. Unless the throne room was the room with the sighing floor.... "

He shrugs, gnawing his lip. "I would like to explore what's left of the maze - I think that Midge's danger sense should help keep us safe... and of course I'd turn right back the moment Midge tells me it isn't safe.... but on the other hand I don't want to endanger the rest of you. "

He looks at the others, waiting for their replies.

Ford laughs.

"Oh boy."

He looks to Lurel.

"I'm all for exploring what's left of the maze... we should check every last inch of the safe areas for the control panel instructions... then if worst comes to worst, I guess we'll have to face some of the dangers."
