Zorlon - Levdia

Lurel nods, and accords the box on the table one last grin. Then he frowns....

"How was this box able to answer our questions?"

He turns back to look at the box more closely. "Perhaps our wizard is locked not inside this house, but inside the box?"

Ford looks to Lurel.

"Good point. Maybe it can be opened?"

He walks over to the box and looks for a split, something that he could prise it open with. Or maybe even a button.

The box is sturdy. The only obviously moveable part is the switch that probably operates the speed. No doubt you could wrench the cylinder or 'trumpet' off if you tried.

The high pitched babbling continues!

"Gah! This is getting on my nerves."

Ford hits the "slow" button in an effort to make it less babbly.

"Hmm... I don't see anything that we could open it with."

The machine squawks and suddenly you hear quite a different voice. The one you have heard often before.

"Well, you are nearly at the end of the maze my friends. You have only to find the throne and return to me. Be aware that after those two actions you will have all you need to get out of the maze. From what I heard you say, however, I am not sure you have interpreted the expression 'quick march' correctly. You must perform the actions in the correct order."

The box disappears and you find yourself outside the house facing away from it.

"Quick match... what else could that mean?" Lurel ponders. "I suppose we could ask Anima... she said she would answer questions. Though there are so many questions I want to ask - about the Avelyssians, about that cave on Levdia, about our quest... are we doing the right thing?" He sighs.

"Oh well, maybe we'll find out some answers in this throne room. But I wonder what significance the room with the sighing floor had..."

Lurel shrugs helplessly. "There's nothing for it but to go looking for the throne room - and looking at the map there isn't much of the maze left. I wonder about those arrows though - and where did those creatures that attacked us near the first box go? Not much of the maze left for them to hide in!"

OOC> 'quick march' was what I meant to write but I'm not looking that far back. If I got it wrong I apologise.

You hear Anima's voice in your heads. "There are only three rooms you have not tried to visit. You missed one opportunity but it will not affect the outcome. Visit me when you have the third clue. Perhaps then you will not have as many questions as you think."

///oops - typo - should have read 'march' in my post too... ///

Lurel studies the map.

"Let's head west, then south, and look at those remaining rooms. Just - let's be careful, ok?"

He is concerned that Midge has been so quiet - has there been no danger to warn against, or has Midge lost the ability to sense it?

He grimaces at Ford. "After that warning about the arrows, and those attackers who fled this way, I'm starting to wonder whether I shouldn't just draw a target on my forehead.... "

'How long have we been been in this maze for now? We've been concentrating so much on getting through it, I hope we haven't lost sight of what we really have to do... '

He sighs, and heads off along the passageway. "Coming?"
