sopmac45
I already know that if I start a new game and must wait till I get out of the Vault to activate my mods. My question is if I can deactivate all my 118 mods and activate some of them again for the new game ? For example, in Skyrim, is better to go nuke and restart from scratch, but I heard that with Fallout 4, you can restart a new game with a new character, deactivate some mods and active others and you should be fine. I just need to confirm this please. What would be the right procedures to start a new game, with new set of mods without any conflict in my new game ? This is my first play through ( for Fallout 4 in PC ) and of all the mods that I have already installed, there are about 10-12 that I would like to complete deactivate and uninstall from my hard drive but I do not know in what way my game data will be affected, so it is better to start a new game but again, do not know if by doing that my new game will be also affected. PLEASE HELP !! Thanks,
2much4l1
The best time to uninstall a mod is before a new game as long as no other mod depends on its assets. You might have to refer to the mod author's advice on how to uninstall their mod. Learn to use FO4Edit to find and patch conflicts: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/? sopmac45
Thanks so much 2much4l1 ... what will happen if I uninstall all mods, start a new game and reinstall the mods again ? So this way I would not have to worry about mod dependencies at all, am I right ? Will that affect my Fallout data files from the previous game ? That is really what it matters to me. Reinstalling all mods is not a real problem at all. It will be time consuming but I do not care about that at all as far as I get in my load order, what I really want. Please advise again. Thanks so much ... :)
2much4l1
If all your mods are installed correctly there shouldn't be a problem. Uninstalled and deleted mods sometimes leave remnants like text files and orphaned scripts. You might have to manually re-download a mod to see exactly what files were installed and where.
