Best way to farm gold?

Should this be in spoiler?

Alchemy and Enchanting

Focus on ingridents that produce Stall Magicka, Fortify Skill (certain ones, not all, and not attribute), and Resist X, in that order (seem to be the most profitable for me). Blue Butterfly Wings + Blue Mountain Flowers = 600 or 700 gold potions, sell 'em for 400 or so...

And Potions with dual effects sell for much more. Dual Stall Magicka/Anything else can hit 1000 when you're maxed.

Enchanting I think it's Banishment. Enchant with banishment or maybe it was Waterbreathing. One of those two should be the most (and iron ore is rediculously easy to find with leather strips, so enchant iron daggers for almost no cost for item to enchant)

if your alchemy is high enough, you can make potions that cost 500+. get the 48 hour wait mod.

buy all ingredient, sell all your potions, wait 48 hours, repeat.

What is the 48 hour mod?

To the OP, are you going to make your charcter good at alchemy, or enchanting? If you put perks into alchemy (a significant amount) in due time you will be able to sell some potions and poisons for 200 to 2000 gold a piece. Even early on, you'll be able to sell some potions and poisons for several hundred gold pieces a piece. Enchanting items can make money, if you have good perks in it.

But make the type of character you want. What type of character are you going for, anyway? Even if you did a warrior who excels in smithing, you can make good money with it, just not as much as alchemy and enchanting. Also, if you want to play a thief character, you can make good money. If you play as a thief, you can pickpocket people and sell them to a merchant that is a fence (means they accept stolen goods). You get a fence when you join the thieves guild. There is a perk in Speechcraft that allows you to get fence merchants with merchants you invest in.

There is no known way to farm gold in Skyrim. At most, you can mine gold instead :P

On a more serious note, any crafting, Enchanting and Alchemy get you tons of money pretty fast, smithing requires more resources, usually you dont earn much money if you have to buy the crafting materials for smithing. If you mine and hunt you can get money easily enough.

Blacksmithing and Enchanting is a good start, especially if you are at a decent level. makes some daggers and then enchant them with common soul gems then sell them back to whoever  Edited by Thor.
