Trickk
Yeah, it just says "No saved games to display". I checked in the My Documents/Games/Oblivion/Saves folder to see if my save file was there, and it is. It's just not showing up ingame. Any help? Thanks. EDIT: I just tried to make a new game and save it, and the new game doesn't show up in the load screen either! It just says "No saved games to display" or something like that. It's getting me really mad. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
bben46
Did it work before?Have you changed anything, either in your game or on your computer? Are you using XP or Vista?Have you installed in the 'default path'? The default for xp is C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves If it is not EXACT it will not look in the right place. Not enough data to diagnosis the problem. can be your ini file is pointing to different save game path... maybe you have files in the folder that are no ess. Edit your Oblivion.ini and search the line: SLocalSavePath=Saves or SLocalSavePath=Saves\ make sure it is like above and not something as SLocalSavePath=Saves\mycharactername like utilities as Character management could do since it controls profiles based on names you give to characters you create. edit: I'm assuming you typed wrong My Documents/Games/Oblivion/Saves (or are in wine) as the slashes are backward at windows and is: \My Games\Oblivion\Saves not \Games\Oblivion\Saves so far I know hope this helps. If you used a save manager and just removed it the path at your Oblivion.ini is pointing the wrong way. refer to the reply above at what seek and how correct it in the Oblvion.ini edit: hmmm, there is something fishy yet i don't digest well... A new save game was to be sought, don't matter where it is.
bben46
My guess is the Save Game Manager used the XP path for save games and you are using Vista? Check in the documentation for the save game manager and see what the path that it uses is. There is probably a simple way to change the path. I was going to pull up your save game manager, but the name does not give any results in the Tesnexus search. What is the name I should be looking for? I think can be the "Oblivion Character Manager", I use myself as it is very useful at maintaining saves isolated what I'm failing to see is why (or if) fixing the SLocalSavePath=Saves line at Oblivion.ini is not working. Edit: I hope he didn't used some weird savegame utility that changes the savegame file header or structure

I'm using this save game manager: http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Sav...e_Manager;60147 I'm on Windows XP so I don't think it could be that, plus I checked my Oblivion.ini and the path is correct for the saves, so I have no idea what it could be that's not allowing my save games to show ingame. The 'What is new' of this utility v1.5 refers to a saveman.ini I don't know anything about. maybe you want to take a look at this
