Looking for idle animations (.kf files)

I'm pretty new to modding and right now I'm just fooling around with things. I have a few ideas for mods, nothing fancy though. The thing that struck me when I browsed the CS was the lack of idle animations that would really make sense in the oblivion world: smithing (using hammer), mining (using pickaxe), fishing (with pole or net), sweeping (with broom).

I've seen some of these in other mods, but then they come packed with other stuff I don't need. I just need the .kf files for the above activities (or similar), the rest I think I can do myself. Is there a resource center for these kind of basic files? Are there any packages with animations that is free to use? Any tip or link would be appreciated.

If the files you need are in the mod it is easy to extract them. If you are planning to use them for a public mod then you will need permission.

Speaking of idles, does anyone know where I can get the 'sword over shoulder' animation or a mod that has it included? I have instant kudos for you!

go here, and save the file as .kf instead of .jpeg/.jpg

i dont want any kudos though, give them to someone who really does something lol ;)

Thanks. I won't be able to check it out until this evening but am really looking forward to it. Really I've only given one kudos so far to Vagrant0 because he devotes so much time to helping people here and has helped me. In this case this is a mod I really want and may have gotten a bit excited when I asked. But I need help finding another kind of mod as well maybe you will feel better about getting kudos for one more? I posted a topic on HUDs - search my profile for it if you like. Either way thanks for linky.

hmm, i think the one you were describing on there was darnui here are some links

darnui with major jim's stat page (either it is the whole pack or it is just the stat page)

darkui'd darn

i use a green recolor of the darn/darkui ;) it is very minimalistic, though i have been having a bit of trouble with the starting menu popups.

plain darnui

still though, no kudos are needed ;)

The plain darnui is probably what I was looking for. Thanks. It's really nice although my only dislike is that the inventory icons and text therein are a little too small. As far as the idle pose I found something in that link that looks like it although it says it's a zip file and when I try to save it as that or even rename the extension I'm not able to open it with Z-Zip. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place or doing it right but I could never figure that site out anyway. Once I d-led something from there that worked but I think I was just lucky.

To help you find mods on TESNexus that contain new or modified animations, use the Tag Search.

Place a checkmark beside "Animations Modified" to find all mods that have been tagged as having modified KF files.

Then do another search using the "Animations New" to find all mods tagged as having completely new KF files.

Then it's a matter of finding which ones you want and you have the information necessary on those pages for gathering permission to use them in your mods.

Evil you just got one from me, because you are doing the very thing that earns you respect on these forums (from me anyway) and that is helping and conversing with others in a kind and respectful manner.

hmm, on the page, there should be a thing that says 1-2h or whatever jpg --> 7z, download the jpg, then rename it to .7z (right click save target as.) you should be all set! if you still have a problem with it, i'll make you a little guide of sorts with pics haha.
