NickHead420
Please, is there any way to block crap like this? Like, a way to block a mod from showing up when I log in, sort of an opposite to the mod tracker. Or possibly a check box like the "Only show adult-only files" in advanced search that says something like "Do not show s*** that is offensive" and a new "mark offensive" button next to the "track file" button. Seriously, there's a difference between adult-only and f*cked-up-in-the-head-only...
nosisab
Something like the "bizarre" tag? :) makes sense in a way, hard is getting the consensus about what is bizarre.
Ashven
If I recall correctly, I think you can set in your profile whether or not you want to view Adult Only files.
pwnedbyscope
hes not complaining about seeing adult mods but rather mods the say push the envelope a bit to far, if you the watched to state of the union address by Dark0ne he said they are working on a new system for catagorizing, so you should see something in the future
bben46
This should already be included in the adult only files. If you don't want to see adult themed files, just turn adult files to off. maybe the changes will have some way to categorize these in such a way to differentiate them from other adult mods that you do approve of. Who decides what fits your special 'offensive' category? The author? The staff? You? the government censor? Almost anything can be called offensive by someone. Mostly being offended is an over reaction to something you personally don't like. I have seen mods that portray women as guards called offensive, beheading and gore as offensive, muscular women called offensive, mods that allow the player to play as a demon as offensive. My little Pony mods, anime, And many others that most players wouldn't consider offensive. If we start making special categories for each kind of offensive, we will have as many special categories as mods. Why not just be an adult (or act like one) and pass on by those mods that you personally don't like? People who are so offended by a mod type such as anime or My little pony mods tend to go overboard protesting them. And then get banned for demanding that we agree that what they personally don't like should be against the rules because they don't like it. A very self centered attitude. I am offended that you are offended. So should you be banned because I am offended? Or should I be banned for finding you offensive? There is a third alternative - Live and let live.
Scribblesix
Having 'fetish' tags might work. Converting women to pre-op transsexuals definitely falls in that category. Other tags might be anime, realistic, humour ect.
Deleted3507349User
That's the neat thing about a mod; you don't have to use it...in fact, you don't even have to visit it's page at all! For my part; I'd come across a mod like that, scratch my noggin, and wonder WTF?!? *shrug* Takes all kinds, I s'pose. @bben46: That was one of the most concise and reasoned arguments I've ever seen anywhere. I'm a new member, and I must say so far I'm impressed overall by the level of maturity I've seen on this site. EDIT: A Fetish subcategory of the Adult isn't a bad idea, surely there are generally-accepted standards in other areas (such as film, for example) we could go by? Fatalmasterpiece
The golden rule is if you don't like something, move along.
bben46
Having 'fetish' tags might work. Converting women to pre-op transsexuals definitely falls in that category. Other tags might be anime, realistic, humour ect. We already have tags for Anime, realistic and humor. Fetish is a possibility. Now we need to work on getting people to use the tags - either by participating in tagging or by using the tag search. We also have tags for Sexy/skimpy, Not Safe for Work, lore-friendly, and we still get people objecting to those categories.
GrndZero
I for one agree with " just move along" If you see a title of a mod that you know you wont like, why click on it? It is already in the adult section.
