Apart from the Games You Play Do You Also Read the Books...

The only book related to gaming I've ever read, was Metro 2033. In this case, the game was based on the book, and not the other way around. Thus, I chose "Other".

And I did enjoy reading the piece :biggrin:

I have red some R.A Salvatores books, and because there is game called Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale, i can say i have red some game books. :laugh:

Well, it's really other way around; those games are made from books.

I can't bring myself to read any of the books, novelizations, "extended universe" arcs, etc. To me it feels like it's cheapening the original material.

I wanted to pick up Metro 2033, since I heard it's quite good. I haven't found a copy in my bookstore yet, I'll have to order it online somehow.

But I never actually read books about games. I have been interested in the Elder Scrolls novels and the Mass Effect novels, but I heard they are not quite good, so I didn't get them.

(I read books IN games, Oblivion and Skyrim that is. And I quite like some of them.)

 

I do read fan fiction and comics though.

 

I've never been to any conventions, but I would love to go to one.
