Operation Anchorage ctding

when I try to play through the OA simulation my game ctd's upon the end of the loading screen from entering teh simulation pod. I know it is one of the mods i got running as it works fine without any mods on. here is my load order

I am suprised the game even starts with a load order like you have. All .esm must load first, these are master files. Fallout 3 masters must be first with fallout 3.esm the very first. Download a copy of B.O.S.S. and read the instructions to correct your load order. Also, do some research about adding mods.

all the files above the weather esm's are master files it's just that when you use fo3edit to change a plugin file to a master file it doesn't change the file type. when i look at the info box at the bottom of Fallout Mod manager it says this when i have those esp's highlighted WARNING: This plugin has the file extension .esp, but its file header marks it as an esm! . so my games runs because all the master files are at the top where they belong with all the plugins below them. All I need to know is which of the mods i have running could be causing the crash.

OA crash -- just like a tranquility lane crash

 

1 - unload any live iguanas (ok, you are not using MMM, but its a general condition for this kind of crash)

 

2 - un-equip any item other than the required suite - many mod items will cause this crash

Wrong. Changing a file header doesn't somehow magically transform a plugin file into a master file.

 

In other words: Sort your master files (the .esm's) above your plugin files (the .esp's)

 

Not going to bother debating this further, so I'll just quote M48A5:

Download a copy of B.O.S.S. and read the instructions to correct your load order. Also, do some research about adding mods.

All I need to know is which of the mods i have running could be causing the crash.

Disable all your mods, then enable them one at time to find the culprit. That is, if correcting your load order won't solve the problem.
