hoofhearted4
so ive seen people use this PCPartPicker before, so i figured id give it a try. at first glance it seems nice. i can save ~$100 if i were to build my build using this, and since they get their items from more then one place, stock isnt an issue. but, i dont have any experience with most online retailers besides Newegg...other then that i know of TigerDirect. Amazon is another, ive bought many things from them, but never PC items, but i think i could trust them (as long as i get a new item, not used)...does anyone know if this website (PCPartPicker) gives you the price of a new item off Amazon, and not a used one? i would hate for it to list a low price from Amazon, but have that price be a used price. anyways, from that list, here is what i feel like i could trust. AmazonNeweggTigerDirectNCIX US and those are the ones im sure i could trust...all the others im not sure about. that includes Best Buy, i dont know if i would buy something like PC parts from them, but idk, thats where you all come in. so basically, if any of you have any experience with any of these, it would be great to know. they also list a bunch of retailers like HP, Microsoft, Dell, etc. which i wouldnt buy anything from them anyways, since im building my PC but yea, i didnt list those. thanks for your help guys....lol all this in a quest to save ~$100 :P NOTE: the "Blah" choice is because you need to choose something in both sections. if you only choose something in one section, just choose blah in the other section to make it happy  Edited March 2, 2012 by hoofhearted4

slimhouse
In saying ~trust do you mean trusted to sell you #gear that wont FaiL within a few days of purchase or more that, they could/will take all your personal data and 'sell' it on... so your never free of #spam and junk in your mail @Inbox..! a) Imo always check your own #rig is not compromised with any type of 'Key-logger' virus when purchasing online and use the #virtual keyboard function found in most Security Suits. appolos' for poss sounding a d#mb-ass. I don't buy gear online but prefer a local #Computer Store guess I'm jus' pAraNoiD..!?
Erik005
Wow this is a really big difference with my country. I only trust online retailers here in the Netherlands, and they are far cheaper than the ''main street'' stores.
Illiad86
Newegg and I guess TigerDirect. TD was an alright site back a few years ago, today it just looks horrible. The layout is pretty confusing, but I guess that's what happens when you join forces with CompUSA :P Never ever buy PC parts at Best Buy. They mostly sell the generic brands and they cost double the price of Newegg and TD. We just got a small Best Buy last year and I've been there twice :P Two times I was there, I wanted to puke :P $65 for 4GB of PNY DDR3 1066 RAM...'nuff said.
