Have you ever wanted to see Wile E Coyote finally grab and beat the crap out of that 'meeping' Road Runner? How about a quest that begins with Hieronymus Lexs and ends with the imprisonment of the Gray Fox and the returning of the Gray Cowl back to Nocturnal.

You don't seem to get it. It is a choice at the beginning, a fork in the road, either work for the Fox or work for Lex to rid the city of him. His torment is not know to the police and justice must be served regardless of his condition. The outcome of his prison sentence would be interesting.

The problem is, once you remove the cowl, no one would know who he is due to the 'curse'(even his family won't recognize him). Or worse, any of the capturer, maybe from guard, or maybe Lex himself can be the next Gray Fox as long as the curse persists.

 

**I often imagine the current Gray Fox got the cowl by killing the previous one.

You are talking about a huge re-scripting of a major quest-line in the game. I don't think you realize just how non-feasible your request is, sorry. This would be a major project that would take probably more time than anyone is willing to give it. I suggest that if you are stuck on the idea, teach yourself scripting so that you can significantly contribute to the work instead of asking someone else to take on a major project for you (with little to no compensation for their time and effort).

I can do this. I'm already working on a Dark Brotherhood alternate story for good players that accidentally killed someone and didn't manage to kill Lucien. I'll give it a go.

 

My initial impression is that I would need to:

 

* Kick the player from the Thieves Guild if he decides to turn in the Grey Fox and he is in the Thieves Guild. This would have to have a certain cut-off date (probably before where you encounter Lex in the TG questline).

 

* Keep the player from rejoining the Thieves guild.

 

* Keep the player from joining the Thieves guild in the first place if he chooses this route instead.

 

* Add in a system of bribery and intrigue to find out who the Grey Fox is. Probably a quest or two of finding some kicked-out members.

 

* Add a final quest to hunt down the Grey Fox.
