Cyberweasel89
So, I go to install this mod because I think it's high time I get a replacer mod for the vanilla outfits and bodies: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12273/? But what's this? It's no longer compatible with the newest version of CBBE? Okay, I'll just use the ones they mention. So, I go to install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65831/? But what's this? It has a list of three entire mods I need to install first to make it work? Okay, I'll give that a shot. So I go to install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68000/?tab=1&navtag=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D68000%26preview%3D&pUp=1 But what's this? It has a list of FIVE entire mods I need to install to make it work? And one of them says I need to run a special program every time I install or uninstall the mod? Wow, this is getting way too complicated for me. Does anyone have some kind of step-by-step instructions for what mods I need to install, and in what way, to get this to work? Novem99
But what's this? It's no longer compatible with the newest version of CBBE? Okay, I'll just use the ones they mention. You have to read properly: It's still compatible with the newest version CBBE. It is NOT compatible with the newest version of Bodyslide what is absolutely unnecessary. Sorry, I get the two confused a lot. Thanks. I'll give it a try, then.
Jeir
Also, as it said in the first link, you only need the skeleton from XPMSE. You do not need FNIS, you do not need the animation files, you do not need Realistic Ragdolls, and you do not even need the plugin that comes with XPMSE. As you're only installing a skeleton, you don't even need SKSE or RaceMenu, although those two are highly recommended and most people have them anyway.So.CBBE. You should already have this.BodySlide. See above.VOBS. This covers armour and some clothing.OCR. This covers all clothing.BOM. Only download the shoes/amulet files.XPMSE. You only need the 'Recommended' files in the archive. If your NMM/MO insist on installing useless files, install manually or with Wrye Bash. Manually: Open the archive with 7zip. Doubleclick on the '07 XPMSE3 (Recommended)' folder to go into it. Extract/drag and drop the meshes folder inside into Skyrim/Data. You can install the creature skeletons if you want (the '09' folders), but it is not necessary. Install the above, run BodySlide, generate the meshes with your preset, and play. No need to activate any plugins (because there aren't any), no need to run a 'special program every time you play', because it's unnecessary. You can even delete the BodySlide folder after.
