CyrusAmell
Anyone who has done the "Forsworn Conspiracy" Quest, without giving away too many details, knows that the real villain is Thonar Silver-Blood. For decades he committed criminal acts against the people of the Reach, Nord and Native alike, to further his own selfish agenda. http://images.uesp.net/thumb/b/bb/SR-npc-Thonar_Silver-Blood.jpg/180px-SR-npc-Thonar_Silver-Blood.jpg Killing Madanach gives you the option to deal with him personally because after that quest he is no longer essential. So I grabbed a Thanehood from the Jarl, walked into the mans house and Fus-Ro-Da'd him right out of bed in the middle of the night. I then skewered him with a dagger enchanted with soultrap and funneled his soul into a single Black Soul Gem in my inventory. Afterwards I used my status as Thane to pardon myself with the guards. My best use of "I am the Thane of - " ever, of all time. For good measure I tossed the man's incriminating journal (who makes these?) into the Jarl's inventory just to shore up my reasoning. Now I just need to figure out where to stick the SOB's soul. I was thinking a silver sword, but then my thoughts turned to a forsworns sword and then it veered towards a pickaxe I can carry around and use. What do you guys think? Brandy1123
Put it into a pair of Forsworn boots. That way with every step they will ever take, he'll forever know he's being trampled and walked on by forsworn. Apparal and armor does no damage so he will never again be able to hurt anyone or thing for eternity.
Herbert12451
Wait, do you get the option to kill Madanach or do you just have to do it on your own? Done that quest 3 times and never killed him. Also, like that idea above.
CyrusAmell
Wait, do you get the option to kill Madanach or do you just have to do it on your own? Done that quest 3 times and never killed him. Also, like that idea above. The whole killing Madanach thing is sort of your own initiative. You can instigate hostilities with him when you meet him by saying "How about we start with revenge?" or you can just attack him at any time during which you will receive the quest to kill him and get the hell out of there. The whole place will then turn hostile but you can easily escape without killing anyone else if that is to your tastes. in any event, I decided (sorry guys) to put his soul into a Silver Greatsword I called "Retribution" which I then commenced to toss into my weapon bin. But if something comes up in the forum I would not be against trying it on other devious individuals. Edited March 12, 2012 by CyrusAmell
Pentigan
If you end up killing some people with unique armor or weapons (Ulfric, Titus Mede II, ect), you could enchant their unique item with their own soul.
dostovich
I did this right after talk with him at the mines exit. He gave me the ring, turned back on me, i had SexLab Defeat installed, long-pressed G key behind him - with the same shiv I killed Madanach :P the sweetest pair of kills of all Skyrim. Also, put his body in a sack and dumped in the nearest river. Slaughterfish bonus party.
LeddBate
"Slaughterfish bonus party" LOL! On a serious note, I think this thread should be moved to Skyrim Spoilers. It just gives away a bit too much.
