PeterMartyr
It more than one Quest, but a there a Formlist(s) of supported voices if that the information that your after. Also different Towns have different dialogue Quests for same merchant in my experience too. So doesn't exist.
foamyesque
Can somebody tell me the name of the quest file that houses all the vanilla merchant dialogue? DialogueGeneric has the majority of it. Specific lines are usually in the DialogueLocation quests. Edited October 18, 2017 by foamyesque
GowiHasti
well I've made a custom faction and chest and I'm trying to specifically add a line to Ysolda to sell it. I've got the lines I wrote to appear (unvoiced as I used a new dialogue and I'm waiting to get it working, but no barter menu. So far nothing seems to work, any advice? So far nothing seems to work, any advice? Shouldn't need to add a line specifically. Make sure she's in the vendor faction, make sure the vendor faction's set up correctly, and you should get a 'what have you got for sale' line appearing with generic dialogue coming back. GowiHasti
Yes, you'd think that but I have done just that (and I've got the routine down pat as I've made many custom merchants in the past and they all work perfectly with generic dialogue. However, Ysolda just doesn't. Thats true even when she inherits stalls and stuff though, from what I've read apparently it's a bug. I just want her to sell a few simple things like mountain flowers and maybe child's dolls. So, I thought I'd try adding a line for her specifically and I've got the line for the PC to appear and her to 'say' her line but no selling stuff from the trunk I made :( So, I'm a bit stuck there. agerweb
Ysolda is the YoungFemaleEager voice type and there are no merchant lines for this voice type so you need to create your own line(s) either added to DialogueGeneric or your own Quest - in the TopicInfo window for each line you need to add akSpeaker.ShowBarterMenu(). If your using custom lines the JobMerchantFaction is irrelevant, you will need to create a faction attached to a chest or use a vanilla services faction. Depends on what voice type you are using for the seller. Only some are set up for the merchant job (although youngfemaleeager voice DOES have lines, see response below). So, feel free to let me know what voicetype your seller has and we can go from their, as I suspect thats whats going on. Actually, later on I figured out what I was doing wrong was simply that while she was in my merchant faction in my test game it started with their being no such faction and once I added her to it via console command she sold stuff and bought stuff perfectly. In new games after that which my merchant faction for her started in existence already she worked just the same as any other seller. So, actually her voice type DOES have merchant lines and not only that but also voiced.
HisEminenceJayfeather
I finally figured it out. I just set the JobMerchantFaction rank to 0 and the JobMiscFaction to -1. All of my NPCs are still invisible outdoors for some reason, but if I find them they work... Edited July 24, 2019 by HisEminenceJayfeather
