SiddiusBlack
Hi, i want to support the nexus (that i love since dragon age) and get premium account for lifetime but the paypal taxes are horrible (£8,00), any chance to pay from outside of UK (for me from germany) without the taxes? The Lifetime in Euro are 45,99 Euro meanted on the nexus site, thats ok but with taxes in PAYPAL it is 59,55 Euro!! And i want to support the nexus and not PAYPAL. Community Manager Dark0ne Posted March 12, 2012 Community Manager Share Posted March 12, 2012 Very sorry, but to abide by UK tax laws we have to charge VAT (20%) to all EU residents.

It doesn't matter what payment method is used the tax still has to be paid.

McclaudEagle
The UK is one of the most expensive European nations. One way that might avoid taxation is 'donation', or is that also taxed? What I mean is: User sends money to Dark0ne in envelope, Dark0ne sets user to be Premium.
Fatalmasterpiece
I wouldn't mind paying UK taxes if I had decent public trans and free healthcare like they do :/
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted March 14, 2012 Community Manager Share Posted March 14, 2012 To be fair we do have high taxes, but we also have well tarmacked roads, a public health care system which, although bloated, is recognised as one of if not the best healthcare systems in the world, a sewage system that lets us put toilet roll down the toilet, a power grid that lets us plug in pretty much any and all of our devices in to our homes, and have them running without blowing the fuse box and the list does go on quite a bit. So yes, high taxes, but the old saying of "the grass is always greener on the other side" runs true with us brits; we don't know how good we've got it until we go and live elsewhere for a while. I couldn't drive my car in the US, for instance, without having to replace the suspension and wheels once a year. At least not in the states I've driven in before.
