Leralien
Hello, I have a BIG problem. it's been almost two months that I play Skyrim (since my pc allows me). I only installed a mod, to pass the time faster (from 48h to 48h) there are already several weeks. Yesterday, when I started my game, it closed without error messages after the appearance of the Bethesda logo. I have not done any manipulation since installing the mod. I searched, but all people with this problem have installed a lot of mods, which is not my case. So I saved my save and uninstall / reinstalled skyrim, without success. If any of you want to help me I would thank him greatly. In the hope of a quick answer. Sorry if the problem exist already, if it is, please give me the link Edited October 23, 2017 by Leralien
Deleted3082751User
You either have a Missing Mod Requirement, Or your String Files are Missing, or Corrupted Check if its a Missing Mod Requirement: 1. Open Nexus Mod Manager (if you have it) - click on the Plugins Tab - see if any of your mods are in RED, if they are that means they are missing a mod requirement, clicking on them will show you what mod they are missing. 2. Ensure that all of your mods (Especially Master Files) are enabled Note: the above basically means 1 of your mods is missing a master file, or another mod that they need to function properly) If Its Because of Missing, Corrupt or Invalid String Files: 1. Open Steam - Click on Library - Games - Right Click on Skyrim - Click on Properties - Click on the Local Files tab - then Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files Note: The Above should restore the String Files Note: in this case the string Files would be for - Continue - New Game - Options - Exit - (basically the Options that appear after the bethesda logo, if the String Files are Missing, Invalid or Corrupt, then the game will immediately crash before these options are supposed to appear, as said above, these options are in the String Files Note: By Invalid String Files i am Refeering to (if the language of the String Files do not match the Game Language, not sure if this is a thing however, but you never know.) Leralien
I've uninstall my mod, (I just had one) and uninstall/reinstall the game already. And I've test this morning, the game seems to work on my other computer, so it must be my computer the problem. And steam don't find anythink wrong on my Skyrim's files. Is it possible my windows or another program did that on skyrim? Thanks for your answer 'cause me, I'm lost.
Leralien
I'll try the nmm, as you said, we never know Edited October 24, 2017 by Leralien
Leralien
no, nothing work, and nmm don't find any mods, so it's not a residual presence of an old mod. so I'm always as lost Edited October 24, 2017 by Leralien
Raider5
here is one fix I've found. Adjust Sound Settings to 24 bit / 48k Hz. You could try using SSME start up memory editor
Grospolina
No mods and it crashes at the logo? When you uninstalled, did you delete the entire folder? Steam doesn't seem to delete files that it doesn't know about, so leftover files could still be there. You could try deleting (or backing up) your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files and then running the Skyrim Launcher. They're found in Documents\My Games\Skyrim. Make Skyrim Vanilla Again is a good guide for clearing everything out.
