haidenreslain
At first, I didn't know anything about OMOD and everything... So I did everything manually... Unpack BSA files...(meshes and textures) I've installed few armor mods, EC mod, Francesco in-game mod, and so on... I've checked everything and worked perfect... and I was happy........ Next thing I did...was to repack those folders into BSA using BSA commander and NOW... Oblivion doesn't work, and all I see is White screens... well, more specifically, Oblivion LOGO and mouse point show as white squares... and when I click NEW, game just crashes and I don't have graphic card problem. Any solution to this? (besides reinstall Oblivion and do it by OMOD/BSA redirection), Because I want to keep number of files in Oblivion folder be minimum...as possible. It would be great if anyone could point out what I did wrong, and possible solution to this.

PS: Indeed they are alike the data folder structure compacted on a file, but not exactly the same thing. What is recommended, and only if necessary, is the OBMM archive invalidation option. Storm Raven
What is recommended, and only if necessary, is the OBMM archive invalidation option. And sooner or later, it usually is. LOL. Especially for those new to mods or modding, I have found its conflict reporting abilities, extremely useful. Note: the help files alone make OBMM a worthwhile download. You can also use it to get a printout or text file of your load order, very helpful when asking for help with problems. Sooner or later someone will always ask you what your load order is. More experienced Modders use more sophisticated tools, but for beginner and immediate Modders, and even a few experienced ones OBMM, in my opinion is an absolute necessity. I'm aware that there are others who do not share this opinion, for various reasons, and there are a number of topics regarding this. However, it's my belief that unless you fall into the very experienced modder category, you will find OBMM is a very useful tool. Nosisab is a very experienced oblivion modder and operator, I mean, in no way to offend him, this is just my opinion. nosisab
Ops, I was misunderstood, I'm a fierce defender of OBMM. And it itself advise BSA packing and unpacking is a dangerous tool :) So much I'm to OBMM as I even create omods of the mods I install and that aren't OBMM aware, Ever and aways if it have folders in the \data structure. But for most of mortals, saving load order, activating and deactivating omods and ESPs, changing that load order and eventual archive invalidation is almost all that is necessary to make a mod do work. PS: even BSA redirection is to be used only in dare need.Is me to thanks you for alerting me I'm looking against OBMM, Stormraven
Storm Raven
I'm afraid we all get lost in translation from time to time nosisab. Only to find that our misunderstandings are actually in agreement. LOL. I think very highly of you, your skills and your abilities. You are an important contributor to these forums. Keep up the good work. :thanks: Storm Raven 8)
