Beachpizzle
I've really been going out of my mind these past few days trying to start a new character. For some reason, the first managed with me having little to no understanding of load order or the importance of, well, any of it! I installed random stuff all over the place and it ran just fine.I must have reinstalled the game around 5-6 times now, purging everything and reinstalling all mods and even trimming back quite a fair bit from what I had installed and sadly, I'm still faced with the same issues every single time. The game will play just fine for short burst but I'll randomly get infinite loading screens or, upon trying to save, the game will lock up entirely. I'm on a fresh install again (outside of program files this time) and again, within 10 minutes of play I was stung by an infinite loading screen and when I got back in, couldn't save when I left Whiterun.Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've followed numerous guides, cleaned game files with TESEDIT, cleaned save filed on old and new characters and I'm using the load order LOOT gave me. Again, I feel like I'm going crazy here, if anyone can spot anything in my load order that is obviously causing problems that would be great and any advice welcomed on how I could improve my games stability!0 0 Skyrim.esm1 1 Update.esm2 2 Dawnguard.esm3 3 HearthFires.esm4 4 Dragonborn.esm5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp6 6 Apachii_DivineEleganceStore.esm7 7 ApachiiHairMales.esm8 8 ApachiiHairFemales.esm9 9 ApachiiHair.esm10 a RSkyrimChildren.esm11 b Cutting Room Floor.esp12 c SMIM-SE-Merged-All.esp13 d Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp14 e Vivid WeathersSE.esp15 f DarkerNights.esp16 10 DustEffectsSSE.esp17 11 Footprints.esp18 12 No Edge Glow - Magic and Transformations.esp19 13 surreal lighting.esp20 14 DarkerNights-SurrealLighting.esp21 15 RelightingSkyrim_SSE.esp22 16 SkyrimIsWindy.esp23 17 dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp24 18 dD-Short Script Range.esp25 19 dD-No Screen Blood.esp26 1a dD-Reduced Splatter Size.esp27 1b dD-Reduced Wound Size.esp28 1c IcePenguinWorldMap.esp29 1d Chesko_LoreBasedLoadingScreens.esp30 1e SkyUI_SE.esp31 1f SkyHUD.esp32 20 iHUD.esp33 21 SkyHUD - iHUD Patch.esp34 22 360WalkandRunPlus-RunBackwardSpeedAdjust.esp35 23 dD-No Spinning Death Animation.esp36 24 FNIS.esp37 25 XPMSSE.esp38 26 Character Creation Overhaul.esp39 27 CCO - Diverse Races And Genders.esp40 28 CCO - Dynamic Skill Progression.esp41 29 FasterSkillLeveling2017.esp42 2a High Level Enemies.esp43 2b High Level Enemies - Dragonborn.esp44 2c High Level Enemies - Dawnguard.esp45 2d Realistic-Voice.esp46 2e dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp47 2f Unleveled_Items.esp48 30 Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp49 31 Book Covers Skyrim.esp50 32 VHTNFSSE.esp51 33 Hjerim.esp52 34 HSTNF.esp53 35 Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp54 36 Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin SSE Version.esp55 37 JKs Whiterun.esp56 38 Eli_Breezehome.esp57 39 Beautiful Cities.esp58 3a Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp59 3b Perks Unbound - Special Edition.esp60 3c Diversity - An NPC Overhaul.esp61 3d ProudSpireManorDBE-2016 SSE.esp62 3e Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp63 3f SimplyBiggerTreesSE.esp64 40 ZIA_Complete Pack_V4.esp65 41 JK's Riverwood.esp66 42 Run For Your Lives.esp67 43 Cloaks.esp68 44 Blowing in the Wind SSE.esp69 45 Immersive Patrols II.esp70 46 Trees in Cities.esp71 47 Shor's Stone.esp72 48 Ivarstead.esp73 49 Kynesgrove.esp74 4a CCO - Permanent Birthsigns.esp75 4b LIAT - NPCs.esp76 4c Apachii_DivineEleganceStore_Patch.esp77 4d RichMerchantsSkyrim_x5.esp78 4e VioLens SE.esp79 4f VioLens SE - Book Menu.esp80 50 Better Dynamic Snow.esp81 51 BlendedRoads.esp82 52 Veydosebrom - Grasses and Groundcover.esp83 53 SRG Enhanced Trees Activator.esp84 54 BetterQuestObjectives.esp85 55 ISC Enhanced Blood Patch.esp86 56 Fantasy Soundtrack Project.esp87 57 Fantasy Soundtrack Project - Combat.esp88 58 DiverseDragonsCollectionSE.esp89 59 KS Hairdo's.esp90 5a Improved Eyes Skyrim.esp91 5b Improved Eyes Skyrim - Vamp.esp92 5c Improved Eyes Skyrim - Serana.esp93 5d Visible Favorited Gear.esp94 5e PC Head Tracking - MCM.esp95 5f PC Head Tracking - Patch.esp96 60 dovahkiinrelax.esp97 61 RSChildren - Complete.esp98 62 RSChildren_NonPlayableOverride.esp99 63 RSChildren_PatchUSSEP.esp100 64 Convenient Horses.esp101 65 Cloaks - USSEP Patch.esp102 66 1nivWICCloaks.esp103 67 skyforgedShields.esp104 68 DCR_KingCrusaderMegaPack_SSE.esp105 69 DragonBoneEbonsteel.esp106 6a Ursine Armour - Non HDT.esp107 6b Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp108 6c JS Armored Circlets SE.esp109 6d Volkihar Knight.esp110 6e Billyro Swords.esp111 6f skyforgedWeapons.esp112 70 LrsamwaysExpandedSkyrimWeaponry.esp113 71 ValiantNordBow.esp114 72 Skysan_GlassAW.esp115 73 Skysan_Stalhrim.esp116 74 Unique Uniques.esp117 75 Hearthfire Materials.esp118 76 Ars Metallica.esp119 77 Blacksmith Forge Water Fix SE.esp120 78 The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp121 79 Blowing in the Wind - JK's Riverwood Patch SSE.esp122 7a Blowing in the Wind - JK's Whiterun Patch SSE.esp123 7b Blowing in the Wind - SMIM Merged All Patch SSE.esp124 7c Ish's Souls to Perks.esp125 7d Cloaks - Dawnguard.esp126 7e Stormcloak Battle Armor Replacer.esp127 7f Centered 3rd-Person Camera SSE.esp128 80 Imperious - Races of Skyrim.esp129 81 Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp130 82 RealisticWaterTwo.esp131 83 RealisticWaterTwo - Watercolor.esp132 84 RWT Lod Fix.esp133 85 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp134 86 Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.espLoad order given by LOOT and shy of around 100 other mods my first character had and ran perfectly fine with.. pathtopower
Got to the my document and purge skyrim document files including saves. You may have edited some important ini files and screwed up big time. Erase em. Restart the game to generate new ini files to replace em. The game will play just fine for short burst but I'll randomly get infinite loading screens or, upon trying to save, the game will lock up entirely. I'm on a fresh install again (outside of program files this time) and again, within 10 minutes of play I was stung by an infinite loading screen and when I got back in, couldn't save when I left Whiterun. I am gonna be very nasty about this. Put all your freaking mods you got and throw it down a trash compactor. Restart with a fresh new skyrim and install 1 mod at a time. Use Wyre bash with every mod and skyrim edit to clean all dirty mod files/skyrim dlc files and finish with loot for optimal placement. Test the game via alternate start because doing the whole intro is a huge time sink you can't afford and walk for 10-15 minutes in out of a inn and slap a guard or 2 just to see if combat will freeze the game or not. If your game does not crash or freeze then it passed the test and move to the next mod. Do this until your game crashes or freezes in order to find the culprit then delete the mofo from your hard drive. Some mods do not play nice with other mods and may create some nasty conflict that may screw up the game engine.
Beachpizzle
Hey, thank you for the response.I seem to have found the culprit (along with realising I hadn't specified that in my post) and it seems as though it was SKSE64. Not to say it was just that, I imagine there was some conflict along the line but when I launched Skyrim without SKSE it ran fine, smooth as you like! I've even added more mods that I had gotten rid of on the last complete purge and it still runs just fine. I think for the sake of SkyUI and a couple of other SKSE dependant mods I've just stopped using SKSE for the moment. Hopefully they'll it'll be out of alpha soon and I can go back and see what was making it so unhappy! For now, this was my 5 or 6 time uninstalling and reinstalling everything, in hind sight, I should have gone one by one as you suggested but for now, SkyUI2.2 with the remove warning patch will do for me.Thanks again for taking the time to respond and if/when I do one by one it to find the culprit I'll be sure to update, for now, just enjoying being able to play! Fingers crossed for you mate! I've been playing consistently with no issue since. I even got brave and made another couple of test characters just to make sure it was stable across multiple saves and it's been running smooth! Back up to 200 mods again now too lol!As a quick note, if you still find yourself unable to save and still CTD, try making a test character to see if you can save. One of my files was corrupt and still wouldn't save without CTD but all others since are OK. Sadly, with it being in alpha, you won't get any support but you can still send your crash logs on which could help with getting SKSE64 to us all in better shape so, if it does turn out to be that, then be sure to pass those on.
