I use the site both on my pc and on my mobile, and I can't say it looks or functions all that well on either. It's particularly hard on my eyes on the PC however. I don't mind a more bare bones style, but it needs greater contrast, and it needs to load faster. It really feels like it needs a good sidebar on PC, and it could do with having the media and news sections of the landing page for games cut down drastically.

I LOVED & PREFERRED THE "OLD" NEXUS LAYOUT.

 

The new one seems making the whole window a bit wider and cluttered (on my perspective),

not that there was too much to see, but how the hit boxes or where you supposed to click has wide surface area.

 

I prefer scrolling to a narrow page by focusing to certain things (like reading a newspaper)

than seeing large boxes with icons, titles & description all at once.

 

I dearly hope there's an option (on account settings) of continuing using the old layout,

or switching to the new one.

 

 

And for the record, it's saddening to see the site' calling the former Nexus layout as "OLD" rather than "Classic" :facepalm:

but that's just me. :armscrossed:

One thing I don't like is the new search bar. the old search box allowed you to search mods for any game from a list, now you have to switch to that games nexus page and only search for stuff on that one game specifically.

I am very sorry, as I know you guys must have put a lot of time and effort into this new website layout.

 

But I really dislike it, it hurts my eyes, and the layout use of space is horrid... I have a 40" monitor, and I still feel like I have not enough space with the way everything is laid out. Is there a way to return to the classic look? I have tried going to settings and navigated through the various menus, but I can't seem to find a way to back.

 

Again, I hate to sound critical, but this is a case where I don't think the new 'upgrade' was actually an upgrade. :-(

It seems that most of your non-paying customers like the layout...and most of your paying customers hate it.

 

I have a lifetime membership...purchased because I liked the old layout. I would not have purchased at all had I known this utter garbage was the new design.

 

 

So the only real question I have is when can I get the good old layout back...or can I have a refund. Because this crap has made doing anything I need on your site to be a bloody nightmare.

Sorry to say but... The new layout looks so windows-10-ish, which is butt ugly and one of the reasons why I newly installed Windows7.

 

A little more constructively: The rounded edges in the old one allow me to distinguish between a frame, a window, a banner and a button. The new layout has no distinguishable borders which makes it look like a random collage of data lacking a refined user interface. Please make it look nice again and functionally more navigate-able for an old guy like me and all the people who are used to a better interface.
