A unique problem

So... uhhh… where to start with this....

I have a tooth that is very sharp, I guess. It's the backside of it, and whenever I talk, my tongue hits it, and the tooth is so sharp that it cuts into my tongue. My dentist said the only way of getting rid of that was to pull the tooth out.

Just wanted to share that pretty strange thing. And see if anyone is smarter then my dentist.

And good news, I don't have cancer. I just had the cells, but they did stop it. :)

Good news to hear you don't have cancer and that they stopped the irregular cell growth. That must be a huge relief. As for the tooth, you couldn't have it capped or ground down? Pulling a perfectly good tooth over it being sharp seems absurd. Even regular daily life will eventually bring it to a dull surface.

I think your dentist is dumb. I had the same problem and my dentist just honed it (I'm not sure is that a correct term, I used google translate) to make it dull and he sent me home. Never had any problems with that tooth again.

And the tooth problem, Hmm no clue there :teehee:

Wonderful news you don't have cancer :)

As for your tooth, hmm. I'd get a second opinion. They could possibly grind it down or put a cap on it. It is cheaper to get it pulled though :P Guess it all depends on where it is. If it's in the back of your mouth, I'd just get it pulled.
