Brown Face without HD DLC

Hey there! I don't know if you found a solution to this on your own yet, but I had the same issue and was able to fix it. Basically there's no fix just yet that you can do to permanently PREVENT this from happening if it's NOT HD DLC related. However, you can actually use the Face Ripper (primarily used to move a face from one save game to another) to fix this issue. Simply select an earlier save for the 1st slot, and then the problem save as the second slot and it will port the face over and the problem will be solved! When you go to load the game, there will now be 2 saves that are the most recent. Select the top most and it will be the fixed save. Do this anytime the issue comes up again. You don't actually have to turn off the game to do this if it happens. Hope this helps! GL!

Just to add: If you don't have a previous save that's not affected by the bug then you can use Looks Menu to get rid of it. Whether it's permanent or not, I'm not sure, but it helped me. Only problem is that you'll have to rebuild your face from scratch, which is why I will recommend grabbing some face presets.

You don't even need to do -that-, Lyrebon. When you make your PC's face using LooksMenu, you can save it as a new preset in the Preset section. Then, when you notice you have the brown face bug during gameplay, just slm 14 in console, go to your preset, and load it. Assuming you haven't made any changes to your appearance between when you saved your preset and now, nothing will change except the bug will go away. Again, not a real, permanent fix, but at least it's quick and easy.

I have to periodically use looksmenu to reset my characters face from the saved preset. It seems to revert to the "black face" sometimes after equipment changes. Also, children almost always have black face. I'm also not using the highres pack.

The wetness is more of a sheen that shifts with the light. That looks weird when it's a whole body. I've thought about turning off wetness because it applies to everything even inside your house, your doors, furniture, etc. when it's raining.

The issue I see is where you can see the back of the neck is fine but there's a clear border below the neck seam and at the edge of the face. If I go to Bunker Hill all of the kids have black face.
