Stronglav Posted November 4, 2017 Share Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) This is a very simple instruction how to get rid of Preston Garvey forever and his annoying settlements.It works for me fine with the latest version of the game and all DLC's included.No more "go help settlements quests".Enjoy the game and have fun!!!Also get rid of Struges and mama Murphy(they are immortal so you can't kill them) 1:Help Preston in Concord.2:Agree to help Tenpines bluff3:Kill the two settlers there.4:Report fail to Preston5:Agree to become the General.6:Go unlock and clear Vault 887:Come back to Sanctuary and send Preston and Struges there.8:Feed drugs to mama Murphy untill that old hag finally dies.9:That's it!!! Now you are free!!!The rest of npc's are mortal so you can capture Sanctuary with raiders if you like.Now go have fun!!!Be the Institute Director if you like or BoS paladin whatever!!Also do not send any followers you hire in the game in the Sanctuary!!!Send them to the Vault!!!Cheers and good luck!! Either leave him on the balcony shouting, or go clear out the museum of raiders, then just don't go into the upstairs room the group are in and you never have to deal with them again. I finally managed to give him a job running my Museum at Sanctuary by putting a Guard Post chair behind the reception desk, and Sturges I have painting metal wall panels out of sight behind my house. With all the added settlements I have, a play-through lasts over 700 hours in my case, while Preston annoys me about a handful of those, overall, just for the vanilla settlements. Got mods that make presto-Preston shut up and mods that stop sending messages of settlements in peril, so, after the main settlement quests are done, Prestie keeps tending to the row of corn I assigned him to. Mama Murphy is in her chair overlooking the river at the North side of Sanctuary. She occasionally gets upset when attacked by Bloatflies, but that's it.
