JimmyRJump
A no-hammering mod keeps Sturges a jolly farmer. That's definitely one I have to look up. Got a link for it? Lemme check NMM. Takes almost five minutes to switch games because having over 2000 mods in it for FO4 :P
TheGadget1945
I wonder why people make such a big deal out of it...()...Exactly. With all the added settlements I have, a play-through lasts over 700 hours in my case, while Preston annoys me about a handful of those, overall, just for the vanilla settlements. Got mods that make presto-Preston shut up and mods that stop sending messages of settlements in peril, so, after the main settlement quests are done, Prestie keeps tending to the row of corn I assigned him to. Mama Murphy is in her chair overlooking the river at the North side of Sanctuary. She occasionally gets upset when attacked by Bloatflies, but that's it. A no-hammering mod keeps Sturges a jolly farmer. I don't have a mod to stop Preston giving me settlement quests but for some reason he stops after about 2. I hardly ever get get kidnapping quests either and such settlements as I discover don't ask me to liberate other settlements.

May be it would be better if there was some small quest to patch up the houses in Sanctuary.1:To find a professional to do it and hire him2:Find resources???3:Profit!! JimmyRJump
My apologies for unintentionally having slightly derailed the topic. This is and should be about Preston and his bewildering bunch...

Moraelin
I wonder why people make such a big deal out of it. I shipped the whole crew off to Red Rocket and stay well clear if I don't want to socialise with Preston. I kinda went the other way around. I left the twits in Sanctuary, and do all my modding weapons and whatnot at the Red Rocket. It's one of the few places that has ALL the vanilla crafting station, and more than enough place for a robot workstation too. Just the fact that I don't get Marcy chasing me around to abuse me, is totally worth it.
TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
I'm travelling with Preston right now. He's not so bad once he shuts up about settlements--and he believe it or not, he does shut up about settlements. Eventually. In any case I can't imagine Preston being so annoying that I'd go through this much trouble to banish him. You can literally just walk past him and not talk to him, it's incredibly easy.
