Looting MovableStatic objects

What I find extremely frustrating is exploring an area and finding all these objects, such as wooden boxes, metal trash cans, which I should be able to loot. Now loot isn't really an issue in Fallout 4, which is why there are lots of mods that reduce loot, but for me the main aim when I explore an area is to see it cleared out and seeing all these objects lying around is very frustrating.

So first off does such a mod already exist? I looked, but as expected I found lots of loot overhaul mods that reduce loot, but none that change MovableStatic objects in the vanilla game to lootable items. The Wild Wasteland mod does add lootable boxes to the game, which is where I got the idea from, but it doesn't replace the existing ones.

Now, if this mod doesn't exist then does anyone know an easy way to replace all instances of a MovableStatic object with a lootable item? I managed to create my own wooden box that you can loot with the same mesh as the vanilla one, I then disabled a MovableStatic wooden box in the game and put mine in it's place. It all worked great, I was able to loot it and everything. But that was one box, there are 1300 or so more in the game and that is just wooden boxes. So is there a quicker way?

And last, but not least, is there a good reason that this was never done? For instance will it reduce framerate, make the game less stable or even crash it?

You can probably make a script where OnEvent load cell you replace the static objects with lootable objects... Though realistically, looting all those crates would be too heavy...

So even though immersion wise it would be awesome to do so, but like in real life, you would probably leave the boxes where they are...
