Looks like toge needs a quick-fix kit to repair Vault 88... Of course, if we don't get a more or less comprehensible explanation of what went down, then there's not much help to offer, eh?

ton of times and i dunno how to fix it

it would help if you specify exactly what is happening/what is broken with vault 88.

i'd also suggest posting your load order (behind spoiler tags) and your system specs.

i think i've heard that interior settlements like vault 88 and mechanists lair can be messed up with some scrapping mod/mods if you're not using the correct version so that may be worth looking into

I think I've heard little green men took over Washington DC and are walking around three on top of one another wearing a strange looking orange wig :ermm: :huh:

 

Not having a go a the main man in DC, nor at you personally, merely pointing out that statements beginning with "I think I've heard" carry little to no weight when brought in as evidence for some or other occurance or malfunction, especially since I'm know to have scrapped a hole the size of Texas in both Vault 88 and the Mechanists Lair without suffering any consequences :D

ha yeah fair enough. i do recall one of the MAs of Scrap Everything mentioning in this thread some visual glitches or something along those lines in vault 88 a while back, which i know has since been fixed, and have also seen a couple of threads here and in the beth forums a while back from users experiencing graphical issues that i remember were definitely related to a scrap mod (though i don't recall if it was related to SE, spring cleaning or another scrapping mod) that ended up being caused by using an out of date version.

 

anyways yeah that's why i thought i'd throw that suggestion out there but i guess that is kinda a shot in the dark more than anything since we weren't aware at all of what was broken/how v88 was broken, what mods were being used or computer specs haha

Sure, there have been instances right after the Vault 88 mod was released I (and many others) ended up with highly psychedelic swirls where the halway tunnels were situated because having scrapped too many rocks that weren't supposed to be scrapped. But that had nothing to do with any kind of scrapping mod but rather with the scrapping itself. The swirly results were in fact a weird form of LOD flicker and the holes actually looked straight into an endless oblivion that caused the swirls because there wasn't any game boundery beyond.

 

There were other issues with Vault 88, though. Bugs, mostly. Took me a wee while before I again started the Vault's questline but gave upon it because rather tedious altogether. A lot of scrapping and saving and scrapping and saving and then a whole lot of modding and building later, I had myself a settlement with over 100 settlers there.
