What kind of monitor do you think is best for Skyrim?

should also consider what graphics card you have before considering what resolution you want.

gtx 980 ti or Gtx 1070 = for 2k resolution

gtx 1080ti or better = for 4k resolution

gtx 1080ti or titan x pascal or amd equivalent are the only cards capable of running 4k resolution at 60fps

the sweet spot atm is the acer predator 27 inch 2k monitor @ 120 hz or asus rog swift (same specs) both are ips monitors so they will have very nice image quality, color depth and are very fast panels, but you will want at least a gtx 980 ti or gtx 1070 for the perfect GPU to run them, 120hz means the monitor can handle 120 fps without screen tearing, and also very responsive, ideal for very face paced games, typically shooters (skyrim wont really benefit all that much, what with it being locked at 60fps, but other games especially shooters will benefit greatly from high refresh rates), the rog swift is 165hz monitor meaning this monitor will last a very long time with regards to very high performing monitors, not many cards can achieve a constant 165 fps @ 2k, so yea, hence the longevity of the monitor

if your current graphics card is less then a 980 ti then just go for a big 1080p monitor, 2k is going to be much more heavy on gpu then 1080p and it would be pointless getting a fast 2k panel if your graphic card cannot run it

skyrim being an adventure game would benefit from big monitors, for that immersion.not too mention that these games are console games and as such are typically played on big tv(s), the average house hold tv is atleast 32 inch, with many being 42+

so to emulate that, just get a 32 inch monitor preferably curved monitors for mega immersion
