HELP ME?

[Avitmechanic]

I am getting random crashes sometimes 10min sometimes hours no idea why. I am so paranoid I have to save every 5 minutes. I know for sure my computer or components are not overheating, also these crashes ONLY happen with Bethesda games. I also get a crash when steam has an update available sometimes crashing my whole computer whether offline or not. I would restart steam and would find it had an update available after the crash. ANY help would be appreciated. I did follow biraitbec modlist as a guideline. I did clean the masters with FO4Edit. IF YOU WANT TO SEE MY INI FILES I WILL MESSAGE YOU THEM.

You could use a program called LOOT to check for load order issues. If it doesn't find anything, I'd try to deactivate mods and see if the issue persists. If not, activate them a couple at a time and see if the problem returns. That way you can find the perpetrator and look for solutions. Btw, Scrap Everything should be at the bottom of your load order.

Scrap everything MUST BE placed at the very bottom of the load order ... that would be my first advice ... you have Transfer Settlements at the bottom and unless the author suggested to place this mod at the very bottom, it should not be there. Settlements or mods that apply or change the entire game must be placed on the top of your load order. Scrap Everything is a special and as I said, it must be your last.

 

Also, you have 2 Scrap Everything and you should have only one ... when you download this mod, a menu pop up during installation and from that menu, you only choose ULTIMATE EDITION and that's it. I see that you have two and that is not right. There is a conflict and one of the reasons that your game is CTD.

 

LOOT is good but you should not trust it 100% ... you must read the mod description and look for load order / compatibility suggestions and if you do not find them there, read the posts or send an email to the author and ask before you download.

 

Last but not the least .... forget about your rig or how good it is ... if you do not have the load order in the way it is supposed to be, you will CTD. If you have too many mods that conflict to each other, you will CTD unless you create a patch via FO4Edit. If you do not place some mods where they are supposed to be, you will CTD. There are a lot of reasons for a CTD to happen but most of the time, it is related to improper load order and conflicts between mods.

 

If you want to play this game kind of closer to perfection, you must learn how to create a patch via FO4Edit. I recommend you to watch the video located in the mod : War of the Commonwealth ( WOTC ) and after you watch it, you will know how delicate to mod this game is and will open your mind to be careful about modding your game and how to fix some things. Unfortunately, there is not other way.

Concealed Armor installs on outdated version of Armor Keywords that will cause CTD...usually at an armor workbench. Make sure it hasn't overwritten yours or reinstall Armor Keywords and let it overwrite what you have.

 

Confirm you are using the "basic" Decent ENB...not Decent ENB Plus. The Plus version (last I experienced) came with a version of ReShade that caused CTD when used with F4SE. Look and see if you have a ReShade directory in your game folder. If you do, remove or rename it (so it isn't loaded) and see if that helps.

 

I doubt that would be it since the ReShade/F4SE conflict generally crashes the game before the main menu loads but thought it worth mentioning as I've seen people mention Decent ENB when they actually meant Decent Plus.
