ArneLilleseter
Hi. I've not used mods much in the past but are currently trying out a bunch for my next playthrough. Mainly visual enhancement and immersive mods since I want to stay true to the lore. However I see a lot of mods that would be fun to try if nothing else just for a laugh. My question is: is there a way to have two or more saved games with different mods, or do I have to turn the mods on and of each time I switch to another save?Hope my question made sence. strawbqwerty
With mod organizer you can have as many profiles as you wish. I personally have my character profile for my main game and a default no name one for porting mods or trying mods out. Each profile has it`s own saved mod and esp lists . So when you switch profiles those mods are activated and the corresponding esp list is loaded in the right order. The 2.1 version of mod organizer is the best so far with every feature now working and some more added.

JimmyRJump
NMM also lets you have plenty of profiles. I don't know about "as many as you wish" but I also don't know about a maximum limit.
Vattende
simply still back-up your game, so if something realy is going wrong, you have still a save copy ! I have mostly different character, and of course with different mods, the safest way is still to back-up a skyrim copy, or some important folder. Have a big folder on my gaming ssd for skyrim SE tools, saves and so on still.Like you said, sometimes it's fun just to give it a try. Have fun ! :geek:
