hoots7
Being from Texas my favorite basketball teams are:1. The Houston Rockets2. The San Antonio Spurs3. Any team playing the Lakers Way to go Boston!http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/8257942...P>1=39002 The Boston Celtics beat the Lakers 129-96 Celtics 39-point win broke an NBA record for the biggest margin of victory in a championship; in Game 5 of the 1965 NBA finals. Pierce doused Celtics coach Doc Rivers with red Gatorade. Owner Wyc Grousbeck named his group Banner 17 & put a cigar in his mouth - a tribute to Auerbach, the patriarch who had a hand in the franchise's first 16 titles. Garnett kissed the leprechaun the parquet floor & found the Hall of Famer Bill Russell."I got my own. I got my own," Garnett said. "I hope we made you proud.""You sure did," Russell said. It almost seems as the though the Celtics let the Lakers win game 5 just so they could win the championship in Boston. The whole series seemed like a big miss match, the Lakers seemed like a high school (college at best) team compared to the Celtics. Many of the games Boston let L.A. get ahead but would come back in the 4th.Game 6 they dominated & did not let up, the Lakers must have been thinking “Oh Crap, it’s all over” in the 3rd. macmert
Well the Lakers should see that coming... The Celtics were storming through the league whole season and the pre season trades were quite well, a tall guy who can score and rebound and stuff and they get Garnet :D, they needed a shooter and they get Ray Allen :D combined with the skills of Paul Pierce and the great teamwork made the championship... Also I want to point out that Celtics no. 41 (OMG Forgot his name he was traded from Miami) he stopped Kobe single handed and took a crucial part in the victory, he was effective from the 3 pt line and also he is a great defender...
