Your top three underexposed mods

Just three, eh? Give these a try.

Road Flares: It actually has quite a few endorsements and downloads, but I've never seen anyone mention it or use it in a video or anything. With the file added by a commenter that extends the duration to 5 min or so, it's the most atmospheric mobile light source out there.

Whisky's Weapon Repairs: brings back some semblance of the weapon condition system.

Radiation Cleaning: Not only lets you build Fog Condensers, but gives them a purpose as well.

No More Radio Station Notifications

Turns off the annoying found/lost radio notification messages that pop up all the time
...

Seems like you'd miss stuff using that (like the locations you can only find by triangulating on radio signal). Unless you're on your umpteenth playthrough and really don't care about finding the hidden bunkers and suchlike anymore....

I'm sure that's true for some players, but I dislike most of the popup messages the game wants to show me ( so many useless tutorial messages, for example). I'd rather find bunkers by wandering into one than have the game prompt me that there might be something nearby to find.

Some of them are cool little mini-stories. Nothing major, and you don't miss anything really if you don't find them, but you do get a glimpse into how people reacted to the apocalypse, and the aftermath. Some are somewhat pointless, others are downright tragic (ex: Miller family radio signal). And some are nearly impossible to find the hidden doorway to access unless you triangulate using the radio signals, or happen to get really, really lucky and stumble onto them.

I love the little touches like that, the ones that don't club you over the head with a quest marker saying "go here and click", but nonetheless give you more story if you take the time to find them. I just wish that once you find them, and turn off the radio, it would stay off so that you don't have the message pop up again. Because you're right, once you've resolved what you need to resolve, the messages are just annoying distractions.

Hmmm. Top 3. I have a top 10. I'll try narrowing it down to just 3. These ones are always in my game/load order, even when I start a new character.

No Health & Crippled Pop Ups

(If there's one thing I can't stand it's corner pop ups. Now I just need to find one that removes the "You've leveled up! Pick a perk!" nag notification).

LP - No More Footsteps

Hammer Time

There are so many more I rarely see mentioned, if ever. If there's ever a top 10 list I'll be sure to add them :)

Commonwealth Chemistry Expanded –

If you want to use the Syringer to the fullest extent of the law (and beyond) this makes the gun worthwhile and fun at the higher levels.

New Recipes –

If you love survival you will love some of these new foods.

Vault Tech Speed –

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13093?tab=description

This is more specialized. It will let you travel very fast. What this mod will do is give you horizontal speed. This is needed if you want to utilize a Jet Pack better. I tweaked my jet pack settings so I slowly rise (4 Seconds) and slowly descend (16 Seconds) over the course of about 20 seconds. This gives the effect of flying except with one issue. The game does not really give you any horizontal speed for any length of time.

These pills give you that horizontal speed without depleting the action points in no time. This allows me to use those jet pack settings to basically fly with about 20 full seconds of air time. Pop one of these pills (1 minute) and I get two jumps in that minute, until I need a AP recharge. I can fly from Sanctuary to the Drive Inn in about 2 jumps so this is better than fast travel.

I think Heather Casdin is a bit underexposed, but Llama did not want an adult rating.

Seriously, for those who just want a fun and relaxing experience and are not driven by an obsessive-compulsive nature to labor over mundane tasks, the following three mods will help achieve that goal:

Cheat Terminal - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13285

Clean and Simple Settlements - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25350

All in One Settlement Solution - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6304

To increase your playing enjoyment even further, get yourself a top-notch companion mod and check out some of the great quest mods available on the Nexus.

Immersive Teleportation: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26118

The best, bug free fast travel option for survival players is at less than 100 endorsements. Naturally discover the tech to teleport within the main quest and then build devices that can do it at your settlements. Using at low power causes rads, which makes for an awesome early to mid game progression system, because at the beginning you simply don't have the resources to create 50 power at two settlements. Best part? Teleport to a settlement from far harbor to nuka world, and create an expensive one time use portable "recall" device to go back to your designated home base. If I could only have one mod it would be this.

Build DLC Ammo: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21595

Build far harbor and nuka world ammo with the contraptions DLC.

Useful Pulse and Cryo Explosives: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24848

Default cryo mines freeze enemies, when they respawn they remain frozen (aka broken forever, no matter what). In the process of making niche grenades actually have a specific purpose, it fixes that slow but game killing bug. Heavy users of explosives you need this one...

Hi

My first is Endless Warfare https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17626/

Like most games, if you raise the difficulty the enemy take more shots to kill. In this game it is a bit silly. With this mod I add more enemies & keep the difficulty on normal.

I mainly use the mod to add more bugs to the game. There is nothing like being attacked by twenty or thirty flying bugs.

the downside is that the mod can bring any computer to its knees with the wrong settings.

My second is Unlimited Companion Framework https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11829

If you don't use a mod like Endless Warfare you don't need companions at all(my opinion). If you do use a mod like Endless Warfare you will need all the help you can get.

My third is Follower Revive System https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26282/

With all those followers hanging around using Unlimited Companion Framework I put them to work reviving me & each other. Also if I die & have to reload, it is their fault, not mine(I kid).
