Creation Club + Nexus: Any Issues Mixing The Two

I have never tried to mix the Creation Club or Bethesda mods with the main squeeze, Nexus.

Has anyone had any issues using both the CC and Nexus. Or does it go fairly smoothly.

Any comments from anyone that either uses both, or has used both, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

usually it goes fairly smoothly, mods are mods and it makes little difference where they come from, and you still have to apply common sense when combining them.

the only special thing you have to consider is the load order, CC mods are typically in the ESL format and will combine in 254 load order space, so you can´t move them further up in the load to to bypass soft conflicts with mods downloaded from other sources.

@jojje5 Thanks for the conflict tip and load order issue. I usually take great care not to have multiple mods doing similar things or using up similar cell space.

I always get a chuckle when I see someone post that they are having an issue with Piper disappearing and if you see their mod list they have 18 mods that alter Piper. :) Then they wonder why she is a problem.

There are still some mods that are out of date and need an update. The typical type of issue you may see is Pip-Boy or weapon skins not being available. This is usually because the out of date mod doesn't use the new keywords added so they overwrite the CC mods.

Other then that I've heard of vary few issues other then some of the normal bugs you'd expect from a Beth product.

If you DO have issues it's fairly easy to install a beth.net mod through NMM instead. Download, install, and activate it. Navigate to the Data folder, copy all the files associated with the beth.net mod into a 7zip archive. Go back into the game, disable and uninstall the beth.net mod. Then back out and drag and drop the 7zip file in NMM. It will install and operate like all your other mods.

Haven't deemed it really necessary though, they play nice together when changing load order, so no big deal really. I've been using Junkmaster for a year or so, and used to use the Service Rifle and M60 from beth.net.
