Going Back To NMM After Vortex?

After trying using Vortex for all this time I was unable to get Vortex to import from NMM and I spent ALL day Saturday reinstalling each mod for SSE from my download history on the Nexus. Fallout 4 I was able to get a few mods to import but had more problems with it. Today I regretfully decided to uninstall Vortex and go back to NMM for now. Now I'm unable to download from Nexus it shows up in the downloads section but it doesn't show up in the mods tab. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Nevermind I found out what the problem was - I was downloading mods i already had LOL

Are you giving up on Vortex because the import failed? You said you reinstalled each mod for SSE. What happened after that? What problem(s) did you run in to. What exactly caused you to decide against Vortex? Thanks.

Spending all day installing mods from my nexus download history was a big turn-off and I didnt want to do the same for Fallout 4. Also i couldn't get the mods working right. I would try to enable the plugins, when i would enable one a few plugins above would auto disable. I am not giving up on Vortex - just the test alpha

Same story here. Vortex is disaster. Now I have to enable each of over 250 mods so my save would work... Seems like Fallout 4 backup wasn't enough, I had to backup something from NMM. What a waste.

I think the warning on the devs download page i.e. if you have a stable game on another MM, stick with it. I use Vortex on a new game only, and have had no issues especially with the updated release. Perhaps that should be a mandatory rather than a suggestion, save a lot of time and heartache..

We are not in Alpha anymore. You were downloading the whole day ? How fast is your internet connection ? I am able to install 100 mods in 40 minutes and ready to play ( max ).

Did you enable auto-deploy under Settings ?

@ dmki …. I feel your pain but with all due respect, Vortex is not a disaster. The issue may be in your end rather than Vortex. I do not know what you did or what you are doing but it was never a disaster for me and I am using it since it was out. Check your procedures and watch all videos and read threads in relation to it and you should be fine.
