Fluffy Khajiit Project

I have an earless human Citrus head mesh if you want to use that, but tri files would need to be rebuilt in a BodySlide&Outfit Studios tool. Blaze69 knows what that is. if you have a LoversLab account, you can contact me via private message where I can attach the file.

  • Don't know how the nif is set up and would have to check it out, but I'd say as long as the BSLightingShaderProperties for the shells are set to the same values as the body (or head for the head shells), it should pick up the skin color/tint just fine. The most important step is probably to set the "Skyrim Shader Type" to "Skin Tint" if it isn't already.

BSLightningShaderProperties on fur shells are different than on the base body. Mainly because glossiness and specular can't be ssimilar (I set gllossiness to 90 on fur, and is 30 on body. specular strenght is at 0 on furs, otherwise it creates some shiny effects not matching the fluffy effect at all^^).

I'm not sure those parameters should be a problem for the skin tint to match. Maybe it's because of the shaders flags sections 1 and 2? (quite different also, because I based it on a BSLighningShaderProperty section picked on a sabercat from the fusafusa project (similar concept but for animals). I'll try to tweak those^^)

Cool! Thanks NightroModdz! Yes I have an account here, so much great stuff here, and not only for the adult only mods ;) , it's maybe the best place to find conversions for outfits. :)

I'll send you a pm!

And by the way, is this head compatible with the base TRI files? or maybe it has its owns?

Sorry, lol. Already edited the post before your post.

Haha! =;>

Anyway it's still very interesting. I'll try to rebuild the tri files with the help of Blazze69, and tutorials found here and there. :)

In a sense it's maybe better to work on every part of the whole thing to improve myself. ;)

Little UPDATE :

My problem about skin color not matching the fur was about two points : Skin tint mask wasn't set as Blazze69 mentionned, and Blending in NiAlphaProperty Flags wasn't checked also.

So, with this parameters in NiAlphaProperty Flags : Enable blending, Source blend mode = src Alpha, Destination blend mode = src Alpha, Enable Testing, Alpha Test Function = greater, Alpha Test Thresold = XX ( from 0 to 120 with steps of 20 on each shell for me, it depends on your choices/tastes here^^) : it's not bad at all!

I prefer how it looks without Enable Blending activated (a bit too smooth on my taste, without it it's more "dense", but I think it's a tweak issue, and how the base fur texture is done. SO afterall it gives us some kind of color choice, so it's fine.

EDIT : after a bit testing...not sure for now. Having colors matching the color slider sure would be nice, but the fur is too "hollow" I think. it's especially annoying on feets for example. So I'll find another way. (there's certainly something I'm doing wrong here as usual xD)

EDIT 2 : a bit more testing again... I thought "hey! it's fur...it should match the hair color instead of skin.. cats have pink skin and not pink fur!"... and as simple as this idea was, I just changed the shader type to "Hair Tint", and added the "Hair_soft_Lighting" flag in Shaders Flag set 1... and it works like a charm! BOUYAAAHH! ^_^

Here's a picture of a Fluffy Pink Cat to show you what's done for now

And a better view to her feet, tail and legs, to have a better view of the fur/fluffy effect.

I Hope you'll enjoy it!

Everything is coming together! It looks like you're using a humanoid-khajiit race as a base for this. Are you doing the vanilla khajiits too?

I began to work with Dagi-Raht reborn, but I almost don't need it anymore. Still, I prefer half Khajiit for personnal taste^^

Maybe later, when this version is complete I'll adapt it to full Khajiit.

(it is and will be based on Feminine Khajiit textures).

Little news :

After some thought, I search for "HDT animal ears"... and I found the "Tera ELin HDT Ears'n'Tails".

Ears are really interesting! (I personnaly don't like the HDT-PE Tail compared to the SMP version^^)

There's also a very usefull mod that adds sliders to control the scale/position of these ears!

But it's for ECE, and I usually prefer Racemenu. Not a big deal since both can be installed, and swapped in Mod Organizer. ;)

So I think I'll try to use the cat ears in this pack. Ears are a little big, but the HDT effect on it is really nice.

And what's even more cool, is that it works even mixed with other animated parts like hairs/wigs/clothes with SMP/PE .

The only drawback is that it needs a custom skeleton. Nothing too dramatic, but it's important to know this.

A quick shot to show you the work on ears.

As said above, I took the ears from Tera Elin, make some fur shells with the method of adding head parts, and it woks perfectly. With color matching AND with HDT effect.

Even sliders added in ECE by PsychoMachina are working! SO NICE! :)

For this I'm not sure I'll have the right to share this ears... another mod author to ask permission! ;)

I'll keep you updated of course!
