kylominogo
I am very new to modding and i love mods! Ive been using Skyrim Mod Manager up until today and when i tried switching over to Mod Organizer, after installing all of my desired mods, none of the mods i downloaded and installed loaded into a new game i started. NONE. Alternate start, SKYUI, CBBE body replacers, nothing. In fact, the only mods that were being carried over were from the ones from Mod Manager. Ive tried changing the file path in MO to the skyrim folder in steamapps and to my surprise, it just removed and deleted every mod i had installed in MO. (which had me fuming) Ive tried uninstalling and reinstallin both NMM and MO and same thing. Ive tried moving the Steam folder to the C: drive whereas i previously had it in my D: drive. I just want to start a nice game and finally finish a playthrough with the mods i want, but everytime i try a new solution i see online, it only seems to make things worse and worse to where im afraid to even touch my steam folder or open any game because i have no idea what im doing.. if ANYONE can help. itd be greatly appreciated. S.O.S If any of you need pictures to file paths and things then: https://imgur.com/yRaBVlx (current location of skyrim) https://imgur.com/QBoNIju (what happened after i tried changing the file path in MO) https://imgur.com/85NCTSp (where mods and MO currently is) if you need more then let me know. ill be glad to share. kylominogo
I have tried going step by step with him and did everything he did. but its still not working! Ive already completely deleted skyrim's existence from my computer and MO then brought them back but its still doing the same thing. Even if i run loot, even if i manually install the mod, it just does not load into the game. and i can see it immediately when the little menu pops up. and i can see what files (mods) are being used. and none of which are the ones im trying to install. (alternate start, unofficial sky patch) i dont know if the problem is in my directories or what not, frankly im clueless about that stuff. I have no idea what to do. DarkRudra
When you launch the game, are you using the Run button in Mod Organizer or launching it from Steam or your desktop shortcut? I ask because unless you launch the game through Mod Organizer, it can't see any of the mods installed in MO.
kylominogo
I have tried running skyrim through every means possible. so yes ive run it through MO. it seems to work fine. but it only loads the vanilla mods from what i see in the "data files" tab in the skyrim launch menu. that being the dlc and some random mods from nexus mod manager. none of the mods i installed via MO are showing up. Ive also just searched for "mods wont load in MO" but they all say something about maybe the directory is off or something. but everytime i f*#@ with the directory something goes completely wrong (meaning all the mods i downloaded dissapear, or it involves messing with important files that i dont wanna experiment with unless i know for SURE itll work) Edited February 19, 2018 by kylominogo
Pippboss
If by some freaky accident you do manage to kill your Skyrim/data folder you can quickly re verify the games integrity through steam. Check the mods in question are actually downloading to MO's downloads folder. If they are in your downloads folder you can add a mod from an archive by clicking on the 'install a new mod from archive' button. (should not need to unless its a mod you archived yourself or downloaded manually with another mod management tool). Take a look at the right pane. Select ''downloads'' tab same mods should be shown here. If you see nothing try click on hide/unhide button.Don't want too sound mean................ but Mod Organizer requires you to install the mod and activate it. Its not a fully automatic process. kylominogo
oh theyre definitely installed and activated. i installed some mods by the use of MO (Unofficial skyrim patch/alternate start) and some manually (Sofia, CBBE) theyre all installed and the plugins are active and checked. i suppose its just MO not recognizing the skyrim game and is calling on the steam.exe instead to run it. but i dont know how to fix that.
