Bahumut
Anyone know how to remove the Drauger eye effect with USSEP installed? The traditional way to remove by giving yourself the effect and then removing it is blocked by USSEP scripts so it does not work. I read that you could remove USSEP, do the eye fix, then reinstall, but that will most certainly ruin and corrupt your save doing it that way. I need to figure out a way to remove the effect with USSEP installed. Currently when I get the effect I just load up and early save, but I constantly get the effect in dungeons and even on the surface randomly sometimes and its super annoying. I would love to not have to worry about it and just know how to get rid of it via console commands.
Arthmoor
Temple of Kynareth in Whiterun. Use the effects removal shrine. If that fails, your problem isn't being causes by the vanilla draugr eyes bug and you have a mod causing it you'll need to track down.
Bahumut
yes Draugr eyes are a vanilla bug and happen even in my vanilla play through without any mods installed. I can remove it easily in a play through without USSEP because the add and remove effect console command script is not changed and works. With USSEP installed that command no longer works because USSEP changes that script. and the Temple of Kynareth will not work for effects like this. Its a vanilla bug, not caused by any mods. I want to know if someone out there is savy enough to tell me how to remove it on a play through with USSEP installed that blocks the remove effects script from working. Evangela
Console commands can't be changed..they are hardcoded into the executable and as far as I'm aware, are not decoded by SKSE. So.. nice attempt at trying to blame the unofficial patch I guess?
Bahumut
OFC The console command is not changed hahaha, the script that changed draugr eye effect was Modified by USSEP. However, no worries, the first reply was correct about the Shirne in the Temple of Kynareth. That shrine was actually put there by USSEP to remove unwanted effects due to the patch changes that USSEP made making the console commands no longer effective. TU @Arthmoor, It worked. I did not even know there was a shrine placed there, then in another post one of the people that work on USSEP told me that shrine was placed there by that team to remove the effects. Sweet! Arthmoor
Glad it worked, but I'd appreciate it if you'd stop spreading misinformation. The changes made to the scripts do not invalidate the console commands. That's impossible. Console command use bypasses all script checks. Everything applied via console is done directly through the engine layer. We only put that shrine in as a convenience feature so that people stuck with multiple effects could remove them in one shot rather than screwing around with multiple possible console commands. The changes made to the various scripts to prevent this have nothing to do with the console. They are part of normal game operations.
