Toreador88
I've used both Nexus Mod Manager and Mod Organizer and to say that both don't have issues is an understatement From my time using both I've had the following NMM: - Dirty Data folder, causing mods to break if I uninstall just one- Can not unpack some mods properly, Mods like Open cities for Oblivion- The profile system is absolutely disgraceful- Any ENBs that are downloadable via NMM get put into the data folder MO: - OBSE support is extremely sketchy, I've got it to work but after that it just refuses to work- Only supporting a small selection of games with no way to add more- The script extender loading mechanism never working out for me So when I was trying to mod Oblivion again to make it look more up to date I thought I would give Vortex a shot, considering it is as far as I know being developed by one person it's quite good. The profile system works like Mod Organizer's Profile system and The game selection is much greater than NMM and MO combined With that being said I do have some gripes with Vortex 1) Since I am a Mod Organizer user I use the nxmhandler.exe to manage nxm links because Mod Organizer doesn't support Morrowind I have to use Nexus Mod Mananger. Vortex will not work along side this meaning if I want to continue modding say Skyrim SE with Mod Organizer I would have to manually reset the handler and make nxm handler the primary handler 2) There is no mod virtualization while this is good for titles like Morrowind and Oblivion it still would be nice to have this as an option for certain titles like Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, etc 3) Vortex still can not unpack certain mods like Open Cities for Oblivion. My Oblivion's data folder has way too many folders than necessary and still puts any files that should be for the main directory into the data folder Honestly, I am looking forward to the future updates and see how far this little alpha build can go and maybe ditch NMM when it comes to Morrowind and Oblivion

You should NEVER use NMM for Morrowind, people have advised against it for a long time now. I would suggest using WryeMash instead, it's your safest option. Olivir2019
Ad 2) There are hyperlinks, which is similar. There are no mods installed into Data folder, just links to the files elswhere. As it is a Windows supported feature, it means e.g. you don't have to run tools trough Vortex, because there are links to the files needed. So to run FNIS or Wrye Bash or... you don't have to start Vortex at all. Yet, the mods are not inside Data folder.
