Maquissar
George W. Bush will get the Nobel Prize for Peace? And who will get the Nobel for medicine? My vote goes to either SARS or avian flu!

Peregrine
Winning a noble peace prize would be a sign of weakness!! Americans arent peacfull! We meat eatting gun shooting ass kickers and we dont need no ass forsaken peace prize! Ugh, it's people like you that give us Americans a bad name.... Eltiraaz how do you get Bush Jr. loosing the Presidential election? HES THE PERSIDENT! Hmmm? Is it really that hard to understand? Bush got fewer votes, but won anyway because the Supreme Court blocked the recounts that might have changed the outcome of the election. So by any reasonable system, Bush loses, but in our flawed system he's the president. That's not an election anymore.
cmac
D0p+Feb 16 2004, 03:20 AM] Winning a noble peace prize would be a sign of weakness!! Americans arent peacfull! We meat eatting gun shooting ass kickers and we dont need no ass forsaken peace prize! Although the resemblance to one Elmer Fudd is astounding, I feel I must disagree. The current Bush does not necessarily have to win the current presidential election just becasue he is the president now- yes, it is true that many support him, but it does not mean he will win again. Many also disagree with his intrusions in Iraq, along with other incidents. Many think he is a blundering idiot. You'll just have to see.
Ëlwe (Thingol)
I think it's all the fault of the American way of thinking (Though there are LOTS of bright thinking people out there like Peregrine here), look at this part of text I took from my history book: In 1996, handguns murdered2 people in New Zealand13 in Australia15 in Japan30 in Great Britain106 in Canada213 in Germanyand 9.390 in the United States God bless America This would make a common man like Clinton (Well everybody normal can have a slip up) think Handguns shouldn't be so easy to get so there will be less murders. But no it was a grasp on the freedom so this new 'law' was not beïng brought in action. Also out of the campaign Bush - Gore you can see (the stupid mayority of) America falling for Bush's campaign and not going for the great plans of All Gore. I hope America will get more peacefull presidents in the future, though I think Bush wants his war becouse Europe has had it's crusades and America hasn't (and it still isn't a good reason to go in war with other countrys for their oil, we all know thats why Bush attacked Iraq <_< ) Peace people no war  Ëlwe
cmac
Bush also uses the war as a way of furthering his won career- many people in America probably don't want to see a large-scale war in the Middle East left unfinished, so they would be tempted to reelect him. Or at least someone who would finish the job.
wesaynothin
and 9.390 in the United States Just to chime in... How in the hell does it KILL a little more than a third of a person?
Zmid
and 9.390 in the United States Just to chime in... How in the hell does it KILL a little more than a third of a person? By only crippling him? :P Just on the off chance you're not joking, it was actually meant to be 9,390, as in nine thousand three hundred and ninety. In many European countries, they use a full stop instead of a comma in numbers, and I see Ëlwe hails from Holland.
Shakkara
15 in Japan106 in Canadaand 9.390 in the United StatesI believe in Canada there are more guns on average then in the US.I believe in Japan TV and computer games are more violent then in the US. I believe the US is a messed up 3rd world country that also happens to be the biggest terrorist state on the damn planet.
