darkdill
My computer's been getting plagued by random shut downs usually while I'm gaming (no warnings, no BSOD, it just turns off as if someone pulled the plug). It happens more frequently when I'm playing Skyrim, but also seems to happen when I first try to start up other games like World of Tanks (although it only does it once for those cases, then stops crashing unless I've left my computer off for some time). I'm not able to determine exactly what the problem is, but looking at some other Q&A on other sites, I thought that using my computer's Event Viewer logs might help someone get me some answers. Would anyone know which logs would be relevant, and how I could post them up for people to analyze? Or is that not a good idea? Illiad86
You could check those, sometimes they can find the error. Check under the System logs I guess. But from what it sounds like, you are having some kind of hardware failure. What is your system? What is the wattage of your PSU?

Illiad86
Ah...I see. Well dude, you shouldn't post another thread just for this IMO, I'm sure someone else will give ya an answer. But from what I read in the previous thread, it does sound like your HDD is giving you the problems.
TheUnmoddedMan
Shutdowns like that are either heat related or power supply. Get a can of suppressed air or an ionic hairdryer, open up the case and blow out all the dust. Check all connections and reseat the graphics card.
