command launch>NMM>run FO4 as admin

On the last I have no clue, but as to your first, here's what you'll need to check and do:

1. Find out where NMM's main executable is (check the shortcut you're using to launch it). While you're at it, check the compatibility tab in the shortcut properties. Here you can check the box for 'Run as Administrator' you may need to add the admin password.

2. Now that you know where the main executable is, head there through file explorer. Once you find the executable, again look at the properties for the file (a right click will get you there), click on the compatibility tab there, and again check that needed box I noted in #1.

3. Use the same process for the start menu shortcut and if we're really lucky it'll already be set with the needed box checked, if it isn't, you know the drill.

4. If you have any other shortcuts using NMM, those need to be checked, too.

Hopefully this helps.

Go into your FO4 install directory. To know which file you need you may want to set extensions to visible so that the .exe bit at the end shows.

Right-click the Fallout4.exe and choose "Properties" from the pop-up menu. In that menu, choose the "Compatibility" tab and tick the box for "Run this program as an administrator" at the bottom.

Then do the same for the Fallout4Launcher.exe and f4se_loader.exe...

Start menu or any other shortcuts don't need to be altered as they point to an already changed .exe file.

lol i was literally just coming to this thread to quote jimmy's post above about "Run this program as administrator."

give that a shot. if that doesn't work, and the game still crashes when launching with F4SE Loader, the only other thing i can think of is that you're not actually using the correct version of f4se, or it's maybe not installed correctly. seems like many people don't actually download the latest version after it's been updated due to, i think, having the silverlock page favorited which will sometimes load the page for the old version instead of the updated one. easily fixed by refreshing the page or clearing the cache of your browser

Double checked and Fallout4 and Fallout4Launcher applications in the Fallout 4 directory. also F4SE_loader and Steam are all compatible with Windows 8 F4SE was installed using the installer and is version 0.6.6 which is the correct one for Fallout 4 1.10.75. Ran both with and without administrator. I am the administrator. In the fallout 4 directory is the dll for f4se_1_10_75 as well as te previous dlls for F$SE.

Check that your Anti-Virus doesn't block the F4SE launcher. I had it in the past that my AV (BitDefender Internet Security 2018) saw the exe as a threat. I had to set the bugger to stop from watching exe files in order to be able to play FO4.
