Evanevan58
Hey I'm new to creating mods but i have an idea for a mod that I've been holding onto for a while. I was an avid player of the moba Paragon and since it announced that it was getting cancelled, I have been wanting to recreated some of its characters and abilities in skyrim se. And recently Epic has released all of Paragons assets, (characters, map, ect.) for free for their unreal engine, and I was wondering if there is any way to convert those assets into creation kit for skyrim se so I have something to work off of. Thanks in advance.
Ethreon
I saw that announcement, but is it allowed to actually take the assets out of the unity stuff and into other games? Cause I'm sure I could find a few I'd like to get.
TheWilloughbian
Yeah, there are some models that I would love to have for the CK. What format do they use for the meshes and textures?

Epic Games announced in January that their free-to-play MOBA, Paragon, will be shutting down in April. But, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Paragon’s assets will be put to good use, with Epic Games offering them on the Unreal Engine marketplace for Unreal Engine 4 developers to use free of charge. Di0nysys
Afaik, all of Epic's released assets are only allowed to be used in UE. So no Unity, Godot, Creation Kit, etc. You can however use whatever assets you purchase on the store (from 3rd party) provided the license doesn't have any special stipulations. Are there any restrictions on the use of the Paragon assets? As with all of Epic’s internally developed assets, the Paragon assets are only licensed for use in Unreal Engine 4.This is from their post. https://forums.unrealengine.com/unreal-engine/announcements-and-releases/1445832-12-million-worth-of-paragon-assets-released

Druuler
Yeah, there are some models that I would love to have for the CK. What format do they use for the meshes and textures?Unreal Engine uses the Filmbox (fbx) format for its meshes. I am not sure if they are still using DDS for textures or not. FBX means that they can be opened in blender. So conversion to NIF shouldn't be a problem. Too bad about the licensing, though.
TheWilloughbian
You know, I have been looking at this Unreal market place for a little bit, and it's really darn cool. It's a shame that Creation Club isn't more like this. That's the thing that is severely lacking with Creation kit is new building kit assets. There's a few user made ones that are really nice, but not anywhere near what's available for Unreal. I wish I had the money for all the stuff I want. CC and the unity/unreal markets have very little in common.
