lildozer74
Ok, lemme start by stating I am NOT in ANY way mocking ANYONE who plays as a female character. I have always found it oddly curious that a large majority of males would play as a female in a game like this. I see tons and tons of modded armor for females only and I find it frustrating. I have never played as a female in an RPG. And I probably wouldn't short of the characters being set as female (loki, or diablo for example). I just don't see pros to being a female. I always make my characters pretty similar to myself in real life (with a few extry muscles, just a few) and have, on occasion, made a in-no-way-realistic male character for the hell of it as well. Is it a personal taste kind of thing? Ive never been a fan of MMO's of LARP or anything like that, so i couldn't ask real world men players why they chose female characters. Even in fighting games and other genres I still predominately play male. And no, Im not sexist either. Just askin is all.
DeadShadow777
well, because we like to see a beautiful girl on our command, killing everything but us?
InuyashaFE
It depends on the player, a lot of people do it for sexual reasons, others do it for the character. Others do it because they'd 'rather stare at a woman's ass than a man's ass'. Though I don't know why their eyes would center on a man's ass in the first place... Me, I play both male and female depending on what mood I'm in.
Thoreai
I dont understand why it is so hard for some people to realize that males are attracted to females, i find it actually odd that you find it odd. Why in the world would i play a hairy dude when i can play a beutiful girl, im not that focused on my male ego that i have to play a dude to remember myself of my male-ness.(not talking about you OP or anyone, just saying). As an artist i adore the female look, body, shapes. You basicaly put out a question and then answered it yourself...its a personal taste, how is that hard to understand. Rabbit1251
For a guy who's "not sexist" your whole question is worded to sound very sexist. As for me I view my characters as my sons and daughters and, as I am strongly girl oriented, almost all of my characters are daughters of various ages. I raise them through the Character Creation menu and then set them loose upon the world. I glory in watching over their shoulders as they learn and grow through their various game challenges. I get a great deal of pleasure in viewing the world through young female eyes. I love my daughters and am as proud of their accomplishments as any father could be. JimboUK
I'm a heterosexual male, I prefer the female form, nothing unusual there.
CarlCorey
I always make my characters pretty similar to myself in real lifeI was just thinking about people who say this earlier today. I don't see any reason whatsoever why I would want to play myself in a fantasy role playing game. I, personally, would never go into a cave that I knew was full of murderous bandits or wild bears or walking undead! I, personally would never raise a weapon against another person. I don't like going out in the rain or riding horses (much less riding a horse in the rain)! Much like Rabbit, my characters are decidedly not me. I never refer to them in the first person. They are "he" and "she" -- and the shes greatly outnumber the hes mainly because they are more fun to watch in action (there, I got back on topic). StayFrosty05
I'm female and play a male character....why?....Because the male form is beautiful in my eyes, my Dovahkin is shirtless (light armor) with Favoredsoul's male body mod because it makes him scrumptious for me to look at....the broad muscular back and shoulders, etc...And a bit of a hero complex on my behalf, I like my heroes portrayed as big, strong males who can handle anything (not Arnold extreme, that's just bad...more akin to Jason Momoa) .....I also play males in Oblivion and Mass Effect, but female in the Fallout games, I think because Skyrim, Oblivion and Mass Effect are Hero games, whereas Fallout is focused on personal survival.
