Norgold didn't get on his horse just yet, he was probably going to be with him for a while, so he might as well get acquaintance with him, he walked in front of the horse to look at him, he reached and gently and lightly as he could, rubbed the horses head and neck. The horse bent his head down to sniff Norgold, first his hands then his chest. He felt better that the horse didn't seem to be frighted of him.

He patted the horses head and walked over to the side of the horse, he was a bit nervous due to the fact he hasn't ridden a horse since he was a child. However, he slipped his foot through the first stirrup and slowly climbed on, He grinned as the horse looked back to see who climbed on. He leaned forward and patted the horses head again, he felt a lot better that the horse liked him.

He slowly moved forward, and tried to get used to the motion and bounceing of the horse, and the saddle. As he got used to the motion, he looked at Nawen and Rhaine both, "I think I'll be fine, even though this horse is a tad big for me." Norgold said, and laughed.

Rhaine moved to Angel's stall, tacking her in minutes. Years of tending to this particular horse made her work swift and precise. Leading the horse to where the others stood, she put her foot in the stirrup and swung easily over Angel's back.

She smiled at Norgold, "Ah, I see you've chosen Destiny. He is rather large, but sure-footed...if a bit slow. A fine choice, friend dwarf. He'll serve you well."

Rhaine then saw Nawen's horse, "And you have picked Valiance. Quite a fiery spirit he has, and he is extremely fast. But you seem to be handling him well enough."

She patted her own mare's neck, "This is Angel. She's getting a bit up in years, but she's as strong and hardy as ever. Aren't you, girl?"

Angel's head bobbed up and down in response, flaxen mane fluttering. Rhaine laughed.

"Alright, let's head out," she said kicking Angel forward, "I'll have to talk to the guards because of the city's nighttime curfew, but once we clear the gates, we'll be set."

Rhaine led the way through Waterdeep's winding streets, Angel's hooves ringing on the cobbles. The city's clocktower rang out the midnight hour in gong-like tones. Thankfully, the roads were fairly empty, and so traversing the maze-like streets was not difficult.

Finally, they reached the northern gate. A watchman's helm glittered as he looked down at them, "Oi! Where you think you're goin'?"

Rhaine called up to the man, "I am Rhaine Alcinea! My companions and I leave on the business of Kelemvor!"

"Just a second," he answered, giving a series of hand signals to another sentry on the opposite gate tower. A few seconds later, the portcullis of the northern gate creaked to life, slowly rising.

"A'right. Go on through. Gods be wi' you," the guard said.

Rhaine kicked Angel into a canter and through the gates, hoping her compatriots were close behind.

"Yip," Norgold said quietly to Destiny, and the horse began to follow Angel. As they rode through the streets, the clanking on the cobble echoed through the empty and quiet roads. As the tower rang it's midnight bells, Norgold jumped, but soon realized it was the Tower and nothing else.

As they reached the northern gate, Norgold sat quietly. He knew the guards here weren't really friendly to Dwarfs, and he didn't want to ruin the chances to get through the gate. As Rhaine finally convinced the man to open the gate, he quickly and quietly followed Rhaine outside of the gate. As they exited the city, he wondered how this journey was going to turn out, as far as he knew the dreams were just dreams.

Nawen rode in the very end of the line. She looked around the town the streets were empty probably because that it was already late.

Once they reached the gates Rhaine talked to the guard who thankfully allowed them to leave. She rode past the guard with her head slightly lowered. He'd probably throw her to jail or if she'd lucky kick her out of the town.

She sighed in relief when they were all outside the city gates. She looked around for a while. "Is there a normal road that leads directly to the mountains or will we have to leave horses behind?" The drow asked. She wasn't really familiar with this area. As soon as Nawen left Baldur's Gate she went directly to the city of Waterdeep.

Rhaine wheeled Angel around, "The land is fairly flat for many miles...most of the area is used for farmland. We can follow the High Road for a ways, but then we will need to cut cross-country, which shouldn't be too difficult, even in the foothills. My only concern is the orcs in the area. And dragons."

Norgold nodded, this wasn't the first time he had to deal with Orcs, or dragons. Lucky, his shield was made to withstand even the most hottest of fires, since it was crafted by the Ancient Dwarf metal, which was used to fight off dragons. He looked back at the city of Waterfall one last time, since he knew that he won't be back to the city for quite awhile.

"I've dealt with Orcs and Dragons, they shouldn't be a problem unless they have mass numbers, but I'm sure they have smaller tribes scattered around here and there." Norgold said with confidence.

"I think that to sneak past them would be the best option." Nawen added and looked at both Rhaine and Norgold. "Anyway, I think we've stalled enough. Let's find that entrance to the Underdark." She said, anxious to deal with this problem as soon as possible.
