Without another word, Rhaine dug her heels into Angel's flanks. The mare reared with a cry and plunged into a gallop, following the High Road, the glow of the moon lighting the way.

Nawen followed Norgold and Rhaine closely. She felt much better being back in the wilds instead of the busy and crowded city streets. The drow looked around as she continued riding listening for anything suspicious.

It was dawn when the land began to rise. The Sword Mountains towered several miles from the High Road, to the east. They would reach Leilon by dusk, and there they could rest, gather more supplies, and leave the horses. The mining town had carved several footpaths into the mountainsides, and they would be the easiest route to take. No doubt these paths would eventually peter out, giving way to more rough and dangerous terrain.

As Angel's hooves clopped along at a trot, Rhaine wondered if her companions wanted to talk to help ease the boredom. Neither had said a word thus far.

Norgold watch as the sun rose above the land, the ground shined and the mountains were beautiful. As the warm sun hit his face, as he saw Rhaine and Angel slow down, he pulled on the reins gently to slow Destiny down, it was obvious that horse was tired. Norgold sat for a moment and watched the sun come up even further, he smiled as he turned toward the others.

Rhaine and her horse, literally were glowing as the sun came up, it was quite a sight for his old eyes. It was almost like a scene were the hero galloped down from the hill, the sun perched on them like they were sent from the Heavens themselves. It was quite a sight.

Nawen seemed to be brighter, to be a hidden figure in the shadows. It was quite nice for a change for such a private person. He smiled as he turned back toward the sun again.

Nawen continued following Norgold and Rhaine admiring the beauty of the nature. During her ranger training she learned to appreciate everything that mother nature provides. Fertile soil, warm sunny days, refreshing rain...

For a while she was humming a cheery melody to herself from time patting Valiance. Rhaine said that the horse has a fiery spirit yet to Nawen it seemed that the horse was obedient and calm.

The area looked peaceful enough and she could not hear anything suspicious as well so it looked like it was safe to talk. "I've never traveled on horseback before but it is quite fun." She said breaking the silence.

Rhaine let down her hood, ruffling her hair and stretching her wings to their fullest extent. As she looked at the rising sun, she smiled. Though dusk was a Kelemvorite's holy hour, Rhaine fully appreciated the dawn as well. It reminded her of Brother Merring from West Harbor, who had tried to bring the worship of Lathander to the Harbormen.

She laughed at Nawen's statement, "Until you get off, that is...and then you'll be walking funny for a few hours."

Norgold laughed at what Rhaine said, only to find out it was true. He lifted his leg over the horse and dismounted Destiny, only to fall down. Norgold laughed even harder as he got up. "What you said is true!" Norgold said, walking around trying to wake up his legs. He liked the both of them, Rhaine and Nawen. It was almost like an instant connection between both of his companions. He looked at Rhaine.

"How far are we High Road? I'm sorry if I'm complaining but I could use the rest." Norgold asked.

"Oh that will be fun." Nawen said and also laughed. She was a bit worried when Norgold fell of his horse but he started to laugh once he got up so it seems he didn't get hurt from the fall. The drow wasn't tired at all but it wasn't for her to decide what to do.

"We are about a half-day's ride from Leilon. That's where we need to leave our horses if we are to go further into the mountains," Rhaine replied, "Even though we are close, it would be prudent for us to stop and make camp now. We should look for food and water and rest for a bit."
